Food was good, hot and fresh but my only complaint is I’ve never had to pay for the sour cream, guacamole and pico that is normally included with the meal, notice the slice of tomato ? A bit higher priced than other similar restaurants.

The customer service was the best I’ve ever had, and the food was fantastic. There was nothing left on our plates. The entire staff worked together seamlessly to make sure everyone was taken care of, creating a truly amazing experience.

El Tapatio on Willow
The food was good. We went for a late lunch on a Thursday. It was a little quiet. The restaurant is large, new & clean. We both got a lunch menu item & sodas & our bill was under $30. Very affordable, in my opinion. If you’re from the southwest, it’s not as spicy as we like it, be prepared for that. I got the chimichanga & would probably get fajitas next time.

This place is great. Great chips and salsa, quick service during lunch. The grande burrito is massive but nothing special.
However, the Chile Verde is the best I’ve ever had. That’s the picture I posted. I highly recommend this.
The portions are big and employees are very friendly.

We ordered take out and the food was
warm, and the portions were large. The sides of rice and beans were flavorful, as well as the dishes. We had burritos, quesadillas, and an enchilada. All were hits.
However, we were missing one of our meals and ended up sharing. Despite being printed on the ticket, it never made made it in the bag. While the medium chips and salsa were absolutely enormous, the salsa tasted like
marinera sauce, and was blended smooth.
This restaurant is a tentative try-again, as the food quality was able to make up for
the faults.

Ok obviously the people who wrote these reviews have never had good Mexican food. The salsa taste like a can of petite cut tomatoes, no flavor or spice. The street tacos all the meat was dried out and crunchy. The pico de gallo that came with it was alright because of the onions and cilantro. This is a fast food Mexican restaurant for white people who have never eaten good Mexican food. I am white female but I also lived in Costa Rica for 4 years when I was 8-12 years old and learned all about Hispanic food. We are still searching for a good Mexican restaurant in Cookeville.

Well I ordered from door dash and was given a completely incorrect order. Since the number matched the confirmation for the dasher no refund there. So I call El Tap and explained what happened. They were so helpful… we will remake and you can come get it now. (25 minutes away mind you). I said that won’t work can I get it tomorrow? No we can’t do that either. And no refund. So I am put $17 and dinner? Her thanks! No wonder Romo’s is kicking ya’lls butt. All I wanted was chips and salsa and chorizo dip. Got some weird tortillas with no salsa and refried beans.

The street tacos were fantastic! The ground beef tacos were lacking in flavor, as was the guacamole. Would still go here again. Note: they give you your bill at the table, but to pay it you have to go to the front counter.
