We were hesitant on stopping here because of the few negative reviews but this is our home and I want to support local business and it was by one get one free margarita. Anyways it was about an hour before closing time we were seated everyone was nice The food was excellent The margarita was excellent I don’t know if they were just having bad days for the other negative reviews but definitely good food good service and great music will be back.

Absolutely disgusted, even gave them a second chance!
I have been a huge fan of the El Tapatio Mexican restaurant in Union for a very long time. Whenever they opened up this location in Gerald, I was very excited. A few months ago I was having a really rough day at work and got home and didn’t feel like fixing anything and thought I would simply grab some chips and queso for something to snack on for supper. I drove to the restaurant asked the host for chips and queso, the gentleman comes back out and charged me over $20! I was so emotionally and mentally exhausted. I did not have the fight in me to even argue. I complained to a couple of friends, but ultimately let it go.
Fast-forward to tonight, I called ahead to avoid any misunderstandings with pricing, and when I spoke to the Lady on the other line, she informed me that she would get it ready and it would be $8.99. My husband went to pick up the order and I was absolutely shocked when they charged him over $22! I have attached pictures below! I actually took pictures this time and I am absolutely livid!
What terrible business ethics and what a scam! I will NEVER eat at THIS El Tapatio again, and I encourage each of you to double check your ticket!!! I will also be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau as this is not OK for myself nor my community!

Been here twice now. Both times, the chips have been stale and the A/C isn’t on. The first time it had to have easily been 90° inside the restaurant! The food here is pretty good but nothing that would make me want to go here instead of better places out of town.

We finally got the opportunity to eat at this location and we were not disappointed! Well be back again and again!
The chips and salsa were promptly brought to our table, love their chips and the salsa has phenomenal flavor. We ordered their salsa verde as well and it is super tasty.
Our meals were prepared to order and have good sized portions, so delicious.
And we had a picture of Margaritas too they are not generic like at some restaurants, it’s SUPER GOOD – made with real ingredients (not a cheap mix and cheap tequila)!!

I’m fluent in Spanish and these guys can’t take an order in English or Spanish, I’ve been there multiple times and my order has been wrong every single time, I’ve even went back inside to explain and they still got it wrong so I will not be returning to do business here.

I placed an order over the phone and the person taking my order could not under stand me at all which I understand but she claimed to understand my order then when I arrived I wanted steak and I received ground beef not big deal but then I asked does it come with chips and salsa when I was waiting for food and before paying and she said yes…. Then when I was paying bill I said my bill is 15$ correct? and she said yes and then my card cleared for 27$ the next day and I called the resturant and they gas lighted me saying it was my fault saying I asked for extra chips and salsa which I did not but even that I got 4 tacos for 1.75$ each and a cheese dip…. That together is 13$ so I thought after tax it would be 15$ and she agreed to that and never let me see my receipt… the owner was gonna make me have a “meeting” with him just to receive a refund for their mistake after they gas lighted me…. Still haven’t received a refund still! Atleast pay in cash or it’s worth the drive to go somewhere else trust me

Terrible margarita. Brought out our food, never came back to see if everything was ok. Never got water with our meal. Taco salad was tasteless. Lettuce looked 5 days old. I won’t be going back.
