Tried this Mexican spot for the first time and wow — the birria tacos were *incredible*. So juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cheesy. I legit almost ordered a second round because they were that good. The vibes were chill and the service was solid too. Definitely coming back for those tacos!

Visiting the area and saw this restaurant had decent ratings. Had the lunch special. I had the tamale lunch and my husband had the chimichanga. Both were served quickly and hot. Staff was great. Very friendly. Lots of chips. Mild, medium and hot salsas were good. Easily accommodated special requests. Tried the chimichanga cheesecake for dessert, it was just okay.

First Rate restaurant all around. From the friendly and helpful staff very clean dining area. The food was absolutely delicious. And I’m not a huge fan of this type of food because some of the restaurants have put me off at the past. However I would eat at this restaurant every day. The chips were absolutely fresh and the salsa delicious. We had a different menu for each one of us and I tasted each item and it was really really good. The chicken was tender and juicy and the ground beef was very tasty. I will definitely give it two Thumbs Way up

El Tapatio in Sparta has the typical menu found in most Mexican restaurants in this area. The food was good. The service was good. We plan to move to the Sparta area soon and I look forward to eating here often.

They did not have what I wanted on the menu so I explained to the lady serving us and she put in my order and the picture I posted was the plate and it was delicious and the service was great

Order was wrong. Waitress argued about it. Ended up eating wrong order. Fajitas were Luke warm. Average flavor 5 out of ten. Waitress never refilled drinks or dips or chips. Bus cart and dirty dishware on counter and next to booths.

I have debated about posting this review for over a month. As a family who has eaten at El Tap far too many times to count a recent visit has me confused. My husband and brother stopped in for lunch. By their account food & service was great as usual. The problem came at bill time. They paid seperately. El Tap charged both of them for the chips & salsa. They got one basket of chip & salsa when seated. They were both charged for a full order of chips and salsa. Is this something they have recently started doing? I know in the past when ordering to go they charged for chips & salsa but never have I seen it on our bill at the table. Also never charged twice for the same basket!!

I had the filete asado (two tilapia with rice and veggies), along with an ala carte order of two cheese enchiladas, substitute the red sauce with grated cheese, and a sweet tea. Awesome food and service!
