Went here for Sunday lunch with family and the atmosphere was great. There was Latin music playing and the furniture was all hand carved and painted. The portions were great with enough to fill us up and we even had leftovers. Chips and salsa came with the meal as an appetizer.

We had such an amazing time at El Tapatio Mexican Cuisine in Glenwood Springs Colorado! The flaming trio platter with chicken, beef, and shrimp was absolutely outstanding-sizzling, flavorful, and so unique. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and complimented the meal beautifully.
The fresh-made guacamole with warm tortilla chips was the best way to start-so fresh and full of flavor-and the margaritas were excellent!
The service and atmosphere were top-notch, making us feel truly welcome. A special thank-you to the staff for doing a fun and memorable birthday song for me-it made the evening extra special.
Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town!

This place is like rolling a die. 1 – You may get good service and bad food. 2 – You could encounter terrible service with great food. 3 – You might find yourself with excellent service but your order comes out wrong. 4 – You could be forgotten about and wait 10 plus minutes between ordering apps/meals. Number 5 – your bill might be suspiciously high. 6 – You encounter a mix of the aforementioned numbers.

Our server don’t know if she was having a bad day.. but was definitely not friendly to us at all. The food tasted like salt was poured in it. Never came back to check on us. Definitely not a friendly atmosphere. Especially for this being our first time here and bringing my daughter from California here to eat here. This is definitely a no go.. sorry

The food was great, the waitress was not to friendly us, a party of 8 with 4 kids. I know kids can be trying at times. She never asked us if we needed anything like water. But stuff happens sometimes? It was fine. Another bummer was that the credit machine was broken and had to pay cash.

Service was not very good, we never received a refill of water nor would our waitress look at us, so we could get her attention. The chips were burnt or cooked in old oil. Salsa was thinner and spicier than it’s tasted before. But the reason I gave it 4 stars was I had the Hawaiian Fajitas with Shrimp instead of chicken. It could’ve had more pineapple but other than that, it was awesome! The beans and rice were not as good as I had remembered either.

Has it ever changed …service not at all what it used to be and was very poor. When asked how was everything, we said we were still for our food – no clue?? Thus my frozen Margarita was about warm when food came – shells not crisp and fresh. Not returning for a long time.

Three people ordered the same thing and each dish came out different. Had to ask for full meal. Can’t have fajitas without tortillas. Shouldnt have to ask for my rice and beans if it came with the meal. Meat tasted old. Server really struggled to understand English. Super slow service and no refills.
