This little hole in the wall is our new favorite for Mexican cuisine! Chips and salsa were awesome and the rest of the food did not disappoint. Service was prompt and friendly. Definitely check this one out!

Absolutely a great place for large or small groups. Very kid friendly. The chips and salsa were by far some of the best ive had. The service was excellent given out 11 table of mostly young kids. Clean space and reasonable prices. Love that they serve lunch specials every day of the week and not just during the work week. We will be back. Sorry no pictures!!

This is a decent mexican restaurant. I have been to their other branch in different city and it was better than this branch. The taste and quantity was good, but seems like menu was less options than other branch. We ordered a combination dinner and that was enough for me and my wife. The combination dinner had a burrito, enchilada and mexican rice/beans Might go again.

This place is a winner. Nicely cooked food, healthy serving, fair prices, great service, and good parking. Dining area was clean, intimate, and comfy. Going back soon. There is no military discount, though.

Waste of time, asked for Sopes with lengua, waited for 45 minutes to have to excavate what was rock hills entire stock of shredded lettuce and sour cream. All to find there was no meat. After bringing it to the attention of the wait staff, it was close to an hour total time. Was pointless to even ask for it to be remade with the DMV wait times. This place was dead, and I couldn’t even get the bill for the 1 single drink. I had to bust out the road flare like i was in Jurrasic Park, grabbing the attention of the T-Rex so I could pay and leave.

This was my first time at this establishment. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was about what you’d expect. The service was very good. Our waiter was prompt and checked back on us often. He kept our drinks and chips full. The chips and salsa weren’t the best I’ve ever had a Mexican restaurant. The chips were a little dry and bland but they came out warm. We arrived around 2:30pm and I was a little surprised to see they had stopped serving lunch already (@ 2pm). We weren’t really looking to have dinner yet, but that was our only option.
I ordered the Enchiladas Mexicanas with chicken. Normally it would come with one enchilada with the Verde (green) sauce. I wasn’t sure about that so I asked for it on the side. Instead they gave me 2 enchiladas with cheese sauce. At $12 I thought it was a little on the high side, but it was a very healthy portion. They didn’t skimp out on the chicken. Based on this experience, overall, I’d recommend giving El Tapatio a try.
