EL TACO N Madres – Food Truck
Authentic Moxican Food.
2205 Old Moultrie Rd, St. Augustine, FL 32086
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican street food in St. Augustine that delivers on both taste and value, EL TACO N MADRES Food Truck is an absolute winner. Located at Outpost, 2205 Old Moultrie Rd, this spot proves that great food doesn’t have to come with a high price tag.
The food here is cheap on prices but big on flavors. Everything is prepared fresh daily, starting with the dough made from scratch and turned into tacos only after you order. That freshness shines through in every bite. The beef tacos were exceptional—easily better than some of the so-called famous Mexican restaurants—deeply flavorful and perfectly seasoned.
The chicken tacos were just as impressive: juicy, well-marinated, and packed with authentic Mexican taste. In fact, every item we tried was equally good, showing a consistent level of quality across the menu.
This is honest, no-frills Mexican food done right—fresh, flavorful, filling, and affordable. If you’re in the area and want real Mexican street food without breaking the bank, EL TACO N MADRES is a must-visit and a place you’ll keep coming back to.
I ordered both asada and chorizo tacos. The asada was super tender and well-seasoned. The chorizo wasn’t overly greasy and had the were perfect spice. I topped both with the hot sauce that came on the side for an extra kick. Absolutely delicious!
The owner even gave me a sample of the pastor, and I was blown away by how delicious it was. Glad to say I’ve finally found the best street tacos in Saint Augustine after trying every possible taco joint. Definitely will be a regular stop.
I ordered the torta, burrito, and tacos, and they offer an amazing variety of meats including asada, al pastor, lengua (beef tongue), tripa (tripe), suadero (tender beef), and more. The owner shared that they source many ingredients directly from Oaxaca, including their chorizo (which I had in my burrito) — incredible.
The owners were so kind and clearly passionate about every dish they serve.
