Mane, I have been passing this taco spot for ages, Chamblee and now Buford. We recently saw a great review on Atlanta Eats and decided to give it a try. Whoa! The food, service, facility, and cleanliness were absolutely amazing. We got tacos and quesadillas, slow cooked beef, shrimp, and chicken. I couldn’t believe how good the food tasted; truly authentic and cooked to order. Here is what really impressed me was that their last food inspection was a !! Even the rice and beans were good. With that, we highly recommend El Taco Veloz over Taco Bell and any quick taco spots in Buford for the food, excellent prices, and exceptional facility.

The food is delicious, quick and hot. They wrapped the tacos in foil so when I was ready to eat it was still hot. Reasonable prices for great food. A fast food place with a full service restaurant food. Fresh ingredients seasoned well.

My dad & I used to live by the Taco Veloz in Gainesville. That one was really good. The food was always on point & they were very efficient.
We recently moved to the Sugar Hill area so this is our closest location now. It’s not as good as the one in Gainesville but I believe you guys can get there.
My dad & I went to eat here on Christmas eve, & there was only one couple eating in the building. We placed two simple orders, but they messed up my order for huevos divorciados. When I got my food, it had no salsa & no cheese on the eggs, so I asked for them to add salsa to it, & they took out the 2 little containers of green & red salsa from the fridge & they gave it to me. Well, ideally it would be cooked with the eggs…
Also, when the food came out, the rice & beans & my food were at room temperature. It was not cold, but it was not warm, so within about 6 minutes of me eating, my rice & beans were hardening up like it does when it becomes cold. Given that it was not busy in the restaurant, & we didn’t put in our order in advance, I was confused as to why the food didn’t come out hot, let alone warm.
If you want to grow in business, the basics need to be nailed first. I understand the staff may be training. If it’s possible, I recommend that you send them to the Gainesville location so they can train there for 2-3 weeks before they come back to Buford.
I understand it could’ve been an off-day, maybe with new staff. Anyways, I’ll keep eating here because I like Taco Veloz but there are also other spots in the area to consider.

Rushing to get a quick bite for lunch. First time here. I got a steak burrito with the works: rice, beans, and sour cream washed down with a pineapple drink. It was tasty just a little stingy with the steak. Customer service was great! Will I be back for a quick bite, absolutely!

I’m giving a one star for poor customer service and food quality… Im highly disappointed at this location. The nachos had no cheese on it and when I complained lady wanted to charge me 4.60 for cheese dip… when she never asked me what kind of cheese I wanted on my nachos to begin with, I wasn’t even aware that I had that option. The agua de mango was watered down had no flavor as well as the horchata. I ended up gettin a coke from the fountain. I did try their barbacoa taco it was a 3 out of 5 ,probably would go back just for that taco but it’s really not worth it. Definitely, not happy with their service or food

Very unprofessional. completely messed up my order, tried to charge me for a remake & thought I was dumb enough to not realize she was talking bad about me in spanish to her coworker. went around 7-8 ish on 1-13-25. also as a former food service worker I noticed they gave me expired queso. was supposed to be thrown out yesterday and it was overly runny and gross :/

They seem like they are getting back to quality seasoned meat, they had fallen off for a minute there, as someone mentioned, like they had canned meat for a min. But my complaints are they will speak to you in English when you aren’t Mexican. Look, it I took the time to learn Spanish, reciprocate. Either you want the bienvenida or not! Make up your mind. And the way the men treat Black women is muy terrible!
