⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Tried El Taco Taco recently and it was a great experience. The nachos were loaded, fresh, and super flavorful with plenty of meat, guacamole, and toppings. The chips stayed crunchy and the portion was generous. The tacos were simple but authentic — juicy carne asada, fresh tortillas, and really good sauces.
Food came out fast, everything tasted fresh, and the vibe was chill and casual. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re craving good tacos and nachos.

My order was ready quickly. The customer service was friendly and helpful, a very nice young woman told me about the options. The food was hot and yummy. Taco al pastor and fried rice, because life is too short to get just one.
The pastor was tasty and clean. There were no chunks of unrendered fat or puddle of grease, unlike some places. My tummy thanks you for that. Flavor was savory but mild. Comes with chopped fresh white onion, cilantro, lime wedges, and mild green salsa.
The chicken on my chicken fried rice was so good!! Very flavorful and chopped to a good size to get a piece or two in every bite. The rice was fluffy and savory and had enough small veggies like corn and zucchini to make me happy. Excellent eating and I’m enjoying the leftovers.
I picked up and was going to drive to a rest area to eat on my way back to Lubbock, but the food smelled too good so I just pulled over wherever. Don’t tell on me. Thanks, El Taco Taco

This is my 1st time ordering from El Taco Taco. One of my orders was birria tacos. I asked if they included the consomé. The lady said yes but I got a cup of cilantro and onions swimming in water or some sort of liquid. (See photo) I tried calling the restaurant but they didn’t answer. The food was cold and I really think it’s because they gave one of our orders to someone else. When I went to the window to pick up my orders the lady said someone already picked up the birria plates. I said well it was one birria plate and she said no this girl came and ordered two plates. She started frantically looking through the tickets and I said well my birria plate order was placed over the phone along with another order. She said yes I know but they picked one order up. I was confused so I asked her if she was telling me that they gave my order to someone else? She right away said oh no we’re getting your order ready. I’ll take it out to you. Mind you when I ordered over the phone the lady said it will be 40 mins. I ended up waiting another 30 minutes for a total of 1 hr. 10 mins. and that’s when I knew they definitely gave our order to someone else. Anyway, my food was good. I got the Gorditas with Al pastor and a corn cup, which they forgot to put in my bag. I was given a bigger corn cup than the one I ordered because she said she felt like she had been messing everything up. My kids got nachos and the California burrito. The only complaint is that the food was cold, the consomé was missing, and I suspect they gave our plate away. Will I go back? Maybe. The corn cups have a lot of chili powder which we were not a fan of.

Very very terrible place i wish i never spent my time or money here i had ordered something with my friends and we where told 25 minutes we waited for longer then an hour our food tasted like shit and was super cold they told me we got half your food up we are just waiting on corn cup this n that i told him well how much longer we where told 25 minutes and been outside for 40 he just leaves and says hold on another 15 20 min go by im watching them the whole time the people where taking their sweet time literall had no ergacny to get the food out it was just a very very very bad place to go overall and the sad part was the people who where here before us where waiting longer if you plan on eating here please safe time and money and pick someone where else i garantee the food will be better then this cold nasty stuff I got

You know the ‘hole in the walls’ are the best places. This was no exception. The food was immaculate and the people were kind. It took a while to get our food but you do have the opportunity to sit in your car. Overall this has become one of my new favorite spots.

Very good food always on point cheap for the amount of food that is served they messed up once since our last visit gave us a cheese gordita instead of of two chicharrones will still return love the daily specials..

You must try this place! Don’t let the exterior appearance fool you. We were passing through Plainview and decided to try it after reading the reviews. The barbacoa tacos were soooo good. The birria tacos were amazing too. They look really spicy but it’s not, it’s the perfect amount of flavor. The rice and beans were authentic and delicious, definitely not out of a can. We tried the jalapeno popper taco and it really hit the spot. The corn cup was made to my liking and satisfied a craving I had for a while. All in all the food was a great portion and value for the price. I’ll be looking for excuse to go back to Plainview now just so we can eat this food again! The service was friendly as well so that’s a plus!
