Cozy little spot off the main drag. 3 tables for outdoor seating and nothing else, but don’t let the size fool you. The food is packed with flavor and always cooked fresh. Don’t come expecting “fast” food. This is my go-to taco stop in the Hawthorne area. One of the best parts about it is the owner – great guy, super personable, and damned hard worker too.

UGH! NO! The salsa was rotten. The Tacos de asada were reheated. The tripas tacos were disgusting. The torta was the best and the bread was super old and dry. . FIsh tacos was horrible. I seriously dont know how this place is still open. The man was very nice tho. But seriously food is horrible.

El Taco Perso is a truly diverse eatery where the main chef is a very talented creator of Mexican and Creole food. She makes Mexican classics and rare meals to die for and when you’re missing that “Nawlins” style she has Alligator burritos, Jambalaya and Gumbo that will make the memories of childhood come flowing through. Prices are very reasonable, the customer service is epic but, more than anything, the food is incredible. My favorites are the carne asada tacos or burritos. The Creole foods are mostly a weekend affair but it remains available on the menu during the week as well. Do yourself a favor and come by anytime. You will NOT be disappointed and may find yourself a new favorite eatery in the beautiful city of Hawthorne. Bon appetit!
