Really tasty food with generous portion sizes. They are just getting their full liquor license so they only had beer when we went on Thursday 1/16 but they should have a complete bar menu in February. My burrito was huge and tacos are decent sized too. Loved the pastor! The place is a little stark and they to do some more decorating once business picks up.

My sister’s friend told me this was the best burrito she had eaten so I had to come check it out. Asada Burrito was huge!!!! I took half of it home. I also ordered a chorizo sope. Also was huge! Reasonably priced, the restaurant space is huge and beautiful! Will be coming back soon!
Update: Went back Dec. 2024, and was recommended the huarache. I ordered a steak one and it was so good! I also ordered a chorizo quesadilla and it was delicious. I hope they get more business in 2025!
Update 2025: Called ahead to pick up a torta and a sope. While inside, saw a sign they had churros and ordered a chocolate filled one. He told me to wait 2 minutes as they are fried to order. It was sooooooo good! I should have bought two!

I stopped in for some impromptu takeout while at Ace a couple doors down. I was initially impressed with the interior. HUGE bar and nice decor inside. (it would actually be really good for gatherings)
The employees were friendly and helped with menu questions. The food was ready fast enough and everything was fresh. This kind of restaurant is exactly what’s needed near downtown AH. There are Mexican restaurants downtown but let’s be honest… Pickup can be a pain and they are definitely more expensive than El Tacazo. It’s nice to have a well priced restaurant with easy pickup close to downtown.
I had the enchiladas with red sauce and carne asada. My husband had the 3 taco dinner with El pastor. The food was all really good. It was what you’d expect for tacos and enchiladas…. Which is excellent. The meat was all fresh, the rice and beans were good. They included some hot and some mild sauce.

Absolutely great restaurant. Though I only tried the corn cup and a few of their churros everything came out perfectly fresh. The environment was super nice, clean, and we got our food really fast. The corn was made just perfectly and the churros had the best filling, perfect size and wasn’t even too expensive! Must try!!

Chicken enchiladas come with big chunks of unseasoned chicken, not shredded chicken. They were also dry. Chips were stale. Waiter said “sorry most people here don’t like shredded chicken so that’s how we make it” when I said I wasn’t happy with my meal didn’t do anything to make it right.

Glad I stopped here. Extremely friendly made me feel very comfortable. Super clean! Ordered the Asada burrito with rice and beans and I have to say it’s the best damn burrito I’ve had in years. so much flavor and the carne asada was very tender and deliciously seasoned. I’m so happy that this place is close to my house. If they’re busy be patient , they’re making everything fresh to order . You have to appreciate family owned restaurants.. say no to chains and franchises! 10 stars out of 10!!!

I stop here frequently for takeout. Staff are super nice, and the service is crazy fast. I usually walk in, place my order, then pop to the walgreens 2 doors down for some shopping. By the time I’m done, the food is ready! It’s always nice and hot, super tasty, with generous portions. One day I’ll have to dine in, but this is my Mexican restaurant of choice for take out. Love it!!

If you haven’t been here yet…GO NOW!! The steak taco dinner was phenomenal & the rice was light & fluffy. We also had Quesabirria tacos, they were full of tender meat, crispy outside, cheesy & the juice is so delicious! Even the salsa with the complimentary chips had great flavor! The staff was friendly & welcoming & the place was extremely clean, bright & overall great atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

What a great addition to the fabulous restaurants near downtown Arlington heights. Plenty of parking and great food. Service was fantastic. Had the chicken mole which was beautifully presented. It is up there with the top five moles I’ve had in the area. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back again. Very nice selection of entrees. I look forward to trying several more.
