The tacos are packed, the meats are seasoned perfectly, and everything comes out hot and consistent. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or eating a full meal, it never disappoints. Portions are solid, prices are fair, and the quality stays high.
If you want real, dependable Mexican food that actually delivers on flavor, El Super Taco is the place. Once you eat here, everywhere else feels mediocre.
I normally get a chicken burrito so I can tell when something is different immediately. One thing I noticed is that on some days, the proportions can vary where the burrito won’t feel as full, or will have too much rice and beans and not enough meat.
I’ve tried a few different things from here. The lengua (beef tongue) isn’t for me, the consistently is a bit too much. The protein bowls are good, though can get a bit mushy if you add too much sauce. The quesabirria tacos are amazing, definitely try those if you plan on coming at least once.
When I visited first time at April 20, the shrimp taco was super good. Super super super good.
So I wanted to get that shrimp taco again last night, unfortunately it wasn’t good, flour tortilla tasted like uncooked, Or just lil touch the pan? Anyway it was chewy and very hard to bite.
The sauce also not enough, shrimp wasn’t taste nothing, I like veggie a lot in my food, but yesterday’s shrimp taco was difference than last month…
The chef who cooked on 4/20 and 5/31 may be different or not, but I hope the shrimp taco I got on 4/20 was really delicious, and it‘s that recipe… I hope you guys have improved it next time I visit again.
Clean, well-stocked salsa bar under a nostalgic green “salad bar” neon sign. The avocado sauce has zero spice, but blends excellently with the other salsas for an amazing topping. The diablo was my favorite of the other salsas I tried.
The burrito shell was toasted before being well-wrapped in foil/paper, and stayed warm after about 20 minutes of travel. Pre-cut in half for easy access and a visually stunning presentation.
Inside I found everything jam-packed with flavor and perfectly melty and integrated. The carnitas was expertly cooked, sporting a bit of crunch on the exterior yet succulent and juicy inside, with the right amount of supporting rendered fat.
This paired extremely well with a can of Hatch Chile Gatos (golden ale brewed with chiles) from Fate Brewing out of Scottsdale (purchased elsewhere).
I know there are a lot of options out there, but this place deserves to be high on your list if you haven’t visited them yet.
