Wanted to try somewhere new ‍♀️ never again 1st of all horchata You look like dirty mop water had no flavor disgusting. She refused to take it back, saying there’s nothing wrong with that so she can’t give me a refund. We didn’t even touch it and the soda was flat even though it came in the glass my Carnita Taco was full of grease. It looks like the meat has been reheated. Multiple times was hard meat couldn’t even eat my taco was full of grease only thing that was fresh on my plate was probably the french fries … save your money

A really authentic and fresh meal that is very well worth it if you are in the area. The price is very affordable and the amount of food will leave you more than full. The pupusas are fresh and the tamales tastes like they just made it. Guaranteed to fill you up

This review hurts me, I was here 7 years ago and it was the most authentic salvadorean food I had since my home country. This recent visit was very sad, 2 other clients during peek dinner hours, had to share a menu because we only got one. And were informed tortillas don’t come with their plates… the atmosphere is sad and gloomy. Music was way too loud. And food was mediocre at best.

We went on a day when everyone must’ve been working so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The pupusas are good (not as good as my mom’s ). They didn’t have horchata, which was disappointing. However, the agua de tamarindo was really good. The place looks run down, but the food is pretty good.

I really wanted to like this place, because it’s local and cheap, but I just didn’t like it that much. Had a papusa, but it was way too small and had little filling. Two tacos, but they were average and the tortillas needed to be fried a bit.

The food is great but the service needs to improve a lot. When I came to pick up my food and gave my name the server gave me a side eye like she didn’t believe I was who I said I was.

I’ve been eating here for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Hands down the best place in Austin—maybe even in the entire U.S. to get pupusas. 10/10!”
