Tacos Al Pastor were incredibly good! Always consistent and staff is very friendly. They have a really good salsa bar with fresh ingredients. Recommend the pineapple and avocado salsa.

ordered food from here last night with my fiance, and as soon as we get to opening everything when it gets to the house, he starts freaking out (we always examine our food before we eat it) he turned on his flash light and shows me a literal roach leg broke off onto his chimichanga, just laying there right on top . and it’s so very clear that it was a roach leg, you couldn’t mistake it for anything else . zoom in on the picture .

First time trying this restaurant and we’ll definitely come back for sure! Great authentic Mexican food with a reasonable price and lots of food. The waitresses were nice with a welcoming spirit. Everything was fresh with so much flavor. 5/5 stars definitely will recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food. We went for dinner on a Sunday night. Decently busy but still seated quickly. Waitresses are very sweet and informative. And the food was absolutely amazing. Fish tacos were delicious and the steak fajitas were perfect. The chori-queso is a must! We will definitely be coming back.

Visiting Shelby from Texas and wanted authentic Mexican food. Specifically Caldo De Res. Although they did not have it available, what I did order tasted amazing! My waitress was top notch! Super friendly and often checked in on me. There was a buffet that staff continued to restock. Restaurant was clean and service was quick. I cannot say it’s the “best” in Shelby considering this is the only one I’ve been to but, I would 100% eat here again!

The only real & truly authentic Mexican restaurant In Shelby hands down is el sol!!! Has a lunch buffet all you can eat as well with specific homemade dishes served hot & ready if you want a piece of Mexico then your at the right spot its a spoon full of flavors y’all can argue back and forth with those bland flavors yall use too in this town I’ve tried them all!!!!!! but if you know REAL MEXICAN FOOD then you know what I mean ! Service is always top notch & food is even better not to mention the draft beers to cocktail, drinks & even the agua frescas they made from scratch are one of a kind makes you feel at home in Mexico!… my fave to go to restaurant !
