I was in the area for work and stopped here for dinner. I like that they have a salsa bar, and that’s what brought me in honestly. The only downfall was the service. I probably wouldn’t return again based on the service I had when I’m in the area again. The main course was delicious as well.

The service was mediocre at best and the check was wrong.
The chips were good, but the salsa and the cheese dip were both weak – watery and thin.
The rice was mushy. Chicken was bland and tough. The fajitas were disappointing.

Food came out super fast and hot and tasted really good. Loved the variety and amount of vegetables for the vegetarian fajitas. Also, great addition with the salsa bar! We love to try different homemade salsas and toppings and they were all very good. Service was good until it was close to closing and they definitely made it clear time was up…only negative.

Everyone here was very friendly. An extremely large menu, perhaps too large, was handed to us. My mother had a beef chimichanga with white queso and I had the el pastor tacos. My mother enjoyed her lunch very much, however, I was disappointed with mine. There were only small white canned chunks of pinapple on my tacos instead of the pinapple-infused pork with chilies and achioteas as I would have expected. Sadly, the tacos lacked flavor – as well as the beans and rice. There was a salsa bar, but we arrived late afternoon, so the was messy, I assume, after a lunch rush. Nothing looked very appetizing there save the fresh limes. But my mother really enjoyed the more simply prepared items. I liked the Frieda Kahlo decor though, very festive!

We were on a road trip from Florida to the Smokies for Christmas and looked for Mexican food along our route and this restaurant popped up. We decided to give it a go. As we were being seated another waitress quickly came with a warm basket of tortilla chips and salsa, but unfortunately we found a large, long, wavy black hair in our tortilla chips. I pulled the wait staff to the side to discretely discuss the issue, but it was blown off like I was inconvenienceing them. They acted like I should have just taken the hair out, which I’m sure is all they did before they returned the basket of chips to my table. After that I pretty much lost my appetite so I can’t honestly tell you if the rest of the food was good or not. My husband and I ordered the flautas, which were ok, but like I said, I basically lost my appetite after the hair.

This place is a jewel that is off the beaten path. If you don’t know it’s there you will easily overlook it. The chicken fajita is the best I’ve eaten. The chicken in the fajita is not too large and is always perfectly cooked. The burrito grande is my husbands favorite. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. If you enjoy Mexican food this place is a must try.

This is a quaint little resturaunt. Its decor is filled with traditional decor and music. We had vast service and the food came out fairly quickly and arrived hot at our table. The resturaunt is clean and big enough to host larger groups. Handicap accessible. The restroom is a single room/toilet but was kept quite clean. The food was a nice portionate size and a great price. However I found the food to be pretty bland and lack of authentic flavor. The guacamole was sad and as much as I love guacamole and I was so disappointed. We ordered the shrimp tacos, chicken and steak tacos. We also ordered the carnitas. It was just salty meat with beans and Mexican rice. There is a full bar if your looking for a drink with your friends. I didnt really care for the food so I will most likely never be back.

The “camarones del ajo del…” something else were sooooo good! The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the garlic balance was on point, and the avocado, rice, and tomato all tasted so good together! Perfect meal!
My husband was very happy, as always, with his #8 combo meal, and we have always loved the ambiance there.

Delivery thru Door Dash (our first one in fact here in TN.) One of the few places that you can get delivery from in Kingston, which is sad, but… So got Buffalo wings they were pretty good, nacho salad that was good but so salty compared to what we have tried elsewhere. The taco, and burritos were okish, I wouldnt do ground beef again, texture was off. I dont know I would do the whole thing again though maybe in person and other options. Lets go with maybe. My door dash girl was great, it was only her second day and she made it to our somewhat hidden place.
