I dove headfirst into their steak quesadilla, a beautiful mess on a corn tortilla. The steak? Not some anemic, gristly nonsense, but flavorful, tender, clearly given the respect it deserved. It mingled with just enough gooey cheese, wrapped in a tortilla that tasted like it remembered its origins. Washed it down with a Mexican Coke, the real sugar cutting through the richness, a simple pleasure in a world of ersatz sweetness.
My better half, meanwhile, went for the chicken quesadilla on a flour tortilla. No complaints there. The crucial additions for both of us were the grilled onions—sweet, smoky, a perfect counterpoint—and a pile of those grilled/fried potatoes. These weren’t some afterthought; they were golden, satisfying, the kind of starch that actually contributes to the dish.

Some of the best tacos I’ve had in the US outside of Mexico. Al pastor, is amazing. $3 tacos are hard to beat at this quality. Will be going back .. a lot.

We are traveling south from Ohio and searched for an authentic Mexican food truck with great ratings. We are so glad we stopped here as the food was fresh, flavorful and delicious! The order taker was attentive to details and even extremely helpful with assisting me unlock to the restroom! We would love to stop again as we head back home. It is definitely worth the extra few minutes and is off the beaten path!
