Great lunch spot! You can order ahead online which makes it easy to pick something up on your lunch break. The food is prepared to order so the wait is slightly longer. My vegan burrito was warm, tasty, and filling. Definitely needed the salsa condiment. Be sure to get some before leaving. It’s a small place brightly decorated. Next time I don’t pack my lunch, I’ll be back!

Many reasons why we would never go back here.

Prices. Compared to other Mexican cuisine places, these guys are kind of a rip off. Their prices to start with are on the higher side. Not just that, when you pay, you’ll notice that the rates are higher than listed on the menu. I see other people have complained of this too in the past. And when you ask them, they have all kinds of excuses to justify.

Poor Service. The customer service is very poor. People here aren’t most friendly and understanding. They also take too much time to get the food prepared. We were the first person to order when they opened for the day. And still it took a looong time. Place is small (which is fine) but nothing is friendly here. Silverware, you have to ask for (coz there aren’t much). Water, they ask questions before giving you any.

Food and money’s worth. The food is mediocre. Food taste is average at best. First time I experienced a Mexican place where even for salsa, the lady said that there would be an extra charge.

MARVELOUS MEXICAN

Very casual and legit spot for Mexican fast food. I loved my salad and their homemade salsas are fantastic. Hub liked his tacos.

Fave salsa was the habanero, but the green avocado was a close second.

visited recently with a friend and tried the steak tacos. I started with just one but it was so great that I went back up as soon as I finished, so I could order more! The service was incredibly fast and the prices are very affordable. I highly recommend!

I wouldn’t come back. Table was dirty/menu on table dirty. We were the only people in the restaurant and there was two people working so why a dirty restaurant…The table was also unsteady which was awkward. When the younger lady with the colored hair brought our food to our table she basically like dropped it and ran away didn’t smile or say thank you or ask us if there’s anything else we would need. I wasn’t impressed with my burrito. My boyfriend likes his quesadilla. Also it appeared the bathroom was blocked off. So not sure where people are supposed to wash their hands after they eat. Maybe there was a bathroom for customers but I didn’t see one. My boyfriend agreed with everything I said he didn’t understand why she dropped our food to our table without even looking at us. The lady with the colored hair just doesn’t seem like a friendly person. Lots of Mexican decorations all over the restaurant collecting dust. Less decorations easier to clean.

Small, hole in the wall place with absolutely delicious tacos. I’ve been looking for a taco place that serves authentic tacos similar to my buddy’s homemade tacos, and I’m glad I found this place. I’m excited to try the other items on their menu

Small, no-frills option for authentic and delicious Mexican fare. We had the carnitas plate and some street tacos al pastor.

Highlights: 1 – Some of the best, most savory carnitas around! 2 – Delicious handmade tortillas (taco only) grilled and crispy! 3 – Fresh pica and guacamole. 4 – Green sauce.

Areas that didn’t impress as much: 1 – Chips and salsa cost over $6 extra and the chips were a tad browned and over cooked. 2 – al pastor was surprisingly bland in comparison to the bomb-diggity delicious carnitas. 3 – red salsa seemed to be chili-powder forward… A bit bitter for my taste, but some will love it.

We will eat here again and just go carnitas all the way (tacos and platter). Will pass on chips and tacos al pastor.

So incredibly delicious !!! This is the second time I have been here since being introduced to this gem and the food is the most flavorful, absolutely fresh and beautifully seasoned, cooked to perfection Mexican food in this area. There are quite a few Mexican food options within even a mile or 2 but this is our new #1 go-to! They have incredible veggie options, a great super fresh salsa bar, and the prices to quality and quantity ratio is impressive. 5/5 stars, does not disappoint! My kids love the food as well. My 7 year old loved her chicken quesadilla and my 5 year old enjoys a bowl of chicken and rice. I am a huge fan of the fresh colorful salad I had the first time and these tacos. Can’t wait to go back! There is outside seating and the service is fast and friendly. They do get really busy during main meal times but we were only waiting 5-10 minutes or so. Also one word: GUACAMOLE sooooooo yummy. Well now I’m hungry again!!!! Lol

Tried this place because I saw their sign and I don’t regret it at all. I got a shrimp taco and a carne asada taco; both were delicious! I love the fresh tortillas. Will come back and try other things.

Update February ’25 back to 5 stars. Update May ’24 – the food isn’t the problem, it’s the unpredictable hours around lunch, and half the time they are out of something to make what you want. Today they said that they were “out of everything” and we’re not even halfway through the day. Really? Better call ahead.
Get the Sope! I’ve been trying Sopes from all kinds of food carts and Mexican cafes, and this place has the best Sopes in the Portland area, no question!
