This is probably considered one of the better Mexican spots in Parker, AZ—but to be honest, the food didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the enchilada plate with both carne asada and pollo asado, and unfortunately, both meats tasted like they’d been cooked hours—if not a day or two—before. The flavors were interesting and very salty and had that telltale refrigerated-after-cooking taste.
I absolutely love Mexican food and will likely return here when I’m in town for work, but it just doesn’t come close to the quality I’ve experienced in places like Mexico or San Francisco.
That said, the service was excellent. The staff was warm, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed.
And I’ve got to say—the margarita? An 11 out of 10. Seriously impressive.
All in all, while the food was underwhelming, it’s still a decent option in Parker, especially given the limited dining choices in town.

This place is awesome. I travel from Southern California to Arizona for vacation and get great food. This place is not grengo and very authentic. This place has great service good prices and great food will definitely be back

Excellent meal, especially the grilled chicken dinner! Best margarita I’ve had in a long time. Meal portions were good size, staff were friendly and provided excellent service.

We eat here and look forward to it every year for the Parker race..this year we won’t have time on race day so we drove 40 minutes to go eat here with 7 people including two babies and it was just awful! For one no changing table for babies even though there’s a perfect spot for one in the bathroom. For two why would you put so much into the decor and vibe in the dining area but your bathrooms are truly disgusting and look like a bomb has hit them?? There’s even nasty wet toilet paper globs all over the ceiling GROSS! For three the highchairs need to be burned they’re way past being able to be cleaned! So nasty! And finally for four and five our waitress acted like we were bothering her at work she was so annoyed with the most unpleasant faces just taking our order. I had to go up and ask for things if we needed them. And the meat on multiple dishes had a lot of gross gooey fat. No more El Sarape for us….two sad thumbs down because we have loved it for years

We drove 2 hours just to have dinner with a family member that was in town for a job in Parker. We did not know where to eat and came upon this place. It was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was super tasty. It was a very nice place to eat.

For a place in a quiet out-of-the-way location, the food is fantastic. Great quality, taste and cooked well. Had the surf and turf fajitas with flour tortillas, and loved it. Friendly service, place was chilly, though.

Two stars because our server was very nice. Although we sat with empty water glasses forever. No it was not busy either. Shrimp tacos had no flavor and shrimp was dried out. Chicken burrito was also very bland. Not even cheese in it. Definitely NOT worth the price for either. Go to “The Bell” and get better food!
