Great place for breakfast all day. The full menu is available all the time. Gorditas are crisp and well seasoned. The chicken omelette might have too much chicken as I can’t eat all my food, and I normally clear my plate. The mole sauce and verde sauce for an omelette has been wonderful.

Parking can be tight on a Sunday. Service can be slow too, but not due to the staff, just the shear quantity of people. There were lots of to-go orders moving through as it gets closer to 11am or so.

It does help to be able to speak some Spanish so you don’t need to wait for a different staff member to help you out. There was no shame for being a terrible English speaker. Common Spanish names for food, it described in English.

The menudo tasted like it was out of a can. Not the worst but not authentic. The breakfast was sub par. I remember why i stop coming here. I asked the staff when the menudo was made they said fresh everyday. I did believe that but owell. Maybe there menu has to many choices. Try to simplify it and master though item instead.

This was originally a pizza hut so long ago, now a Mexican Restaurant

I have only been two times

Some food is ok but if you are of a certain race or ethnicity the food is better prepared and larger portions

I am not a part of former group meationed above- Both times my food was served in a sloopy, smaller portion, even rotten and/or stale food

I only recommend this place if you appear to “look a certain way” and speak Spanish

Very disappointed, I personally will not be back and pretty sure the owners could care less as this area has plenty of ethnic local patrons and their relatives etc

Sad they practice DISCRIMINATION

To anyone who says that their plates aren’t good ( something definitely ain’t right in their brain ). EL SARAPE has excellent quality and doesn’t pre heat they cook everything fresh on the grill/stove. My Father and I prefer the cocktail and the milanesa plate…
As top tier local business owner I recommend this Mexican Restaurant…

Delicious!?? This has to be some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tried. The only decent, that’s means okay. Is their Caldo d res, and maybe the chilaquiles. Take in mind I said okay. And for el Paso that means okay, because I don’t know what’s wrong with people’s taste buds in this city, but overall this food sucks. The fries suck. The Burger sucks. The carne asada nachos are just chips with shredded cheese on top, Napoleon dynamite style. Probably microwaved. And 5 pieces of chewy old meat. Do not waste your money here. Maybe the only good thing is what people usually eat, like breakfast or enchiladas, but you can make that at home. And I’m sure better than this restaurant. What a disappointment El paso has turned out to be for me. When it comes to mexican food. There’s not one somewhat decent restaurant. And if there is I’m sure it’s far away from me and expensive. And even the expensive places I’ve tried sucked. I don’t remember the last time I ate out here and I was like dang that was Soo good. Even the ones that everyone raves about are just okay. I’d rather eat Chico’s. Their food might not taste the same as it once was, but it’s still way better then all these other restaurants. The hunt continues for good mexican food.

This place was packed but they were very efficient and despite the quantity of people the service and the food were very prompt. The food was very tasty and price was very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!!

The food was very delicious. Never had to ask the waitress was on it. Knowing the moment we needed something would be at our table before we could Rais a hand to ask. All the staff was friendly.

Delicious as always – we went on a Sunday afternoon so my only complaint was how loud the mariachis were – but I realize that is part of the experience, it was just overwhelmingly loud! Shrimp cocktail was delicious huevos con chorizo was delicious – but the side Chile relleno was lacking this time. No cheese and over broiled – I’m assuming they were just so busy they couldn’t handle the crowd and maintain their normal quality. I love this place and go back every time I am in town – today just wasn’t their day!
