It is a Mexican restaurant, deli, and a grocery store all in one. It is most definitely authentic as you can get and it rivals La Tienda Mexicana Ruby (My favorite store by the way). They have fresh chopped meat just staring at you….The restaurant is most definitely , and they have some of the best large tortilla wraps you going to ever find for the price, They have all the authentic products that you will see at your Mexican grocery store. El Sarape has a big pack of huge tortilla wraps for like $6 which blew my mind….I love me some wraps.. Signs says open, walked in and saw people being served and stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us only to be told they are closed when they are clearly open. No worries will not be back and will let others no dont go there.

Authentic street food, had the al pastor which was a more savory version than I’m accustomed to as there was little to no pineapple flavor in the meat. The person who took my order was kind and had me out the door to eat on my break quickly. I’m surprised this place isn’t slammed at lunchtime.

I don’t leave many reviews these days, but this place is hands-down the best Mexican cuisine to ever have come to Georgetown. This is not Tex-Mex, it is authentic. Chorizo and pastor tacos were phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back and try a torta. Support this gem of a family business! Gtown needs places like this! Adding that the restaurant portion of the store appears to be a one-person operation, so consider this your fair warning that a visit takes some time. Don’t come in a hurry then leave a 2 star review starting with “food was awesome, but…”
