We got a combination taco plate with rice and beans and a couple of taco Tuesday tacos. The tacos were unremarkable and didn’t have a lot of flavor, but they weren’t tasteless. I won’t return the other so many taco places around that are better.

decided to give the restaurant a second chance and had asada nachos with fried beans. They make their own tortilla chips and beans were delicious!. Too much cheese for my liking but appreciate that it’s not “nacho melted” cheese and actually use real cheese.

Okay, I’m going to add my kudos for El Sanchito Mexican Restaurant in Westlake Village, near trader Joe’s.

We ordered hard shell tacos and a huge burrito with ground beef. The tacos came with rice and refried beans.

First, the basics; the rice was tender, not overcooked or dry, spiced mildly with a hint of finely chopped cilantro. Delicious
The refried beans were really authentic, like the beans I had in the kitchens of my friends homes growing up. ¡ Muy delicioso !

The tacos were well filled with chicken, lettuce and pico de Gallo. Crispy shells, cooked in house. Well prepared meat. Enjoyed!

The burrito was not only huge, but it was tasty, and not greasy. I had refried beans in mine, rice, etc. I tried the salsa verde and salsa rojo, both house made from scratch. I loved the salsa rojo!

The chips they serve are a little thicker, crisp and freshly made in house.

The menu? I mean, come on, they have pretty much everything!

Nicely decorated, feels like a restaurant in Mexico.

Will I be back again? Heck yeah

This location has two different sides, one side a bit boogie then the other more chill. You will pay a difference in which side you decide to dine in. I came on a taco Tuesday, the chorizo taco and caritas didn’t disappoint. The al pastor and ground beef not so much. If you get salsa go with the green the red is spicy. I did enjoy talking to the staff, very helpful and kind. Being Hispanic, I hold a high bar for tacos. I’d say when in Rome, eat Roman food not Mexican.

They were very kind, the waiter approached us with nothing but respect. We ordered two Horchatas and it actually tasted so yummy unlike rubies. We also got the churros and they were to die for. We left satisfied and the waiter offered to clean up our mess. 10/10

My favorite Mexican food in Thousand Oaks. Food is legit here. I love their ceviche, but also regularly or their amazing soups and burritos.

Taco is very mediocre. Tripa is completely fried dry and not really edible. Taco Tuesday has limited option

My first 5 star review and this restaurant deserves it. After 3 visits, we are still wanting to try the next item on the menu.

Hidden gem, tucked next to a Trader Joe’s and a Daiso. I got the carnitas soft tacos, and was blown away by the flavor! They were fresh, filling, and absolutely delicious; and I got free chips while I waited.

They make their own salsas too, and they’re to die for —you definitely need to check out the salsa bar. The spicy red sauce was fantastic!
