Absolutely disgusting. The bartender pushed dirty plates out of the way for me to sit down. The manager sat at the end of the bar and said nothing eating his meal. I drank a beer and left. Went elsewhere and explained my disgust as I left. If the bar was this nasty, how does the kitchen look?

This place was unbelievably dirty—we couldn’t even finish our meal. We were there for 30 minutes, and not once did anyone attempt to clean the filthy tables, floors, or bathrooms. When I walked to the restroom and caught a glimpse of the kitchen, I felt like calling the health department. There is absolutely no excuse for this. We left halfway through our already mediocre meal because the unsanitary conditions were just too disgusting. Do not recommend! (PS) It was late… the restaurant was not busy!

Went in for an after work drink during Christmas week and had a really great Top Shelf, hand mixed, Margarita. The place was very busy, as usual, so the bar service wasn’t great because the bartender was also the host, taking phone orders and waiting on the bar tables but we will go back again for that great margarita.

I am new to the Ocean Springs area and have been wanting to find a new go-to spot for Mexican food. I stopped by El Saltillo for dinner tonight. The restaurant had live music, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was fast, and our waitress was exceptional. Hands down some of the best salsa I’ve had ever had! I ordered the bean dip and the enchiladas verdes. It was delicious! I will definitely be back again.

I’ve been to both restaurants— this one and the one in Biloxi. Ordinarily, when a restaurant had completely inattentive staff, there is just no way I’d give them four stars. Likewise, the cleanliness is a little marginal as well. BUT THE FOOD IS RIDICULOUS. So I cannot go below a four star review. I just can’t. Because the 24-oz Margarita (be it mango or traditional) is just amazing. I had the Zacatecano Shrimp and they were stunning, while my partner had the carnitas burrito and he loved every bite. The food is first so good, it makes you forget about the fact that you had to wipe off your seat or your server was missing for huge chunks of time.

Food was mediocre at best. Nothing was piping hot (closer to barely warm). And there was hardly any lettuce in the taco salad. Service was terrible. We were rather amused that the cheese dip arrived before the chips! I think next time we will just go across the parking lot to Taco Bell.

Staple of ocean springs Mexican food. They’ve been here for over 20 years for a reason. Consistently good food that’s affordable, and served by folks who know what they’re doing. I’ve had literally every item on the menu, and every single one of them is good. I recommend the steak fajitas, California burrito, and Carne Asada for the meat eaters, and they have great salads for the non meat eaters. The chicken dishes are very flavorful as well. Believe it or not the burgers here are amazing, so if you’re here with a big party and don’t like Mexican food, get the burger! It’s really really good. If you’re a drinker, they have the typical margaritas, both frozen and in the rocks.
