Food is very good! My favorite is Salmon with Cancun sauce so far. Only one complain: the rice for our dish was off a little (Valentine’s Day). I guess last time they were using different type of rice, or cooked it differently. I didn’t mind, but my husband wasn’t really happy about it.
We were surprised with live mariachi on Valentine’s Day evening, added a little extra twist for dining experience. Wish we could stay longer for DJ performance later on.
Definitely recommending this place to friends and family!
Check it out, you can get in without a wait on a Friday or Saturday night and some nights even get live music. Love their fajitas !:)
one basket of chips and one bowl of salsa. Never re-filled. Our drinks were never re-filled. The server was not available. The empty chips basket was never cleared. The food was served 30 mins later. Server never came back to ask if we needed anything. The food was very salty. Why the wait? There were very few other diners. Service was non-existent. We left incredibly disappointed. We debated about trying this restaurant again. Will read newer reviews to see if this restaurant gets better.
His order: Three open faced corn tacos with sliced, grilled steak, covered with chopped picadillo de cilantro, topped with slices of avacado. No cheese on top of tacos. Served with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and shredded lettuce. Also served with beans and rice. Issues: the menu says nothing about his being served with picadillo de cilantro nor the sliced avacado, however it does say that it is topped with queso blanco Mexicano. Again, no cheese. However no complaints from him about his order. He loves avacado and tomato. We both loved the taste of his tacos.
My order: Chopped pork, corn tortillas, no cheese. Issues: The menu clearly states that the pork was shredded not chopped as I received. The tortillas were corn, not flour as the menu states. There was no cheese on my tacos either. Now I like pork, so could have overlooked the shredded versus chopped pork, if the pork had not been dry and rather tasteless. I even asked our server about my tortillas and she said “those are flour and his are corn”. Mind you the tortillas were exactly the same! I asked her how she knew, she said “That’s what the menu says it is, that’s what they said in the kitchen!” Hmmm. Not a good answer. I ate the pork, some of the lettuce, most of the guacamole and sour cream, most of the lukewarm beans, and some of the room temperature rice. I could not eat the tortillas as they were so soggy with the picadillo they were falling apart. All in all, we had very different experiences here, yesterday. To make matters worse, my meal wasn’t even hot. The rice and beans were not hot at all. My husbands meal was hot. It’s almost like mine was dipped up from some other kitchen, and my husbands was grilled and served up afterwards.
Our server was very nice and all, but really needs to know what she is serving. No one should be given the answer we were about our tortillas!
The kitchen staff needs to adhere to what the menu says. After all, we place our orders based off of what the menu says we will be getting, along with our preferences and needs.
Not sure it is worth another trip. This visit is so horribly different than our first visit. I sure hope they fix these issues.
