First time eating here today and it is a 10/10! I had the tacos de birria and wow! The flavor to the birria was mouthwatering! The consomé and the green salsa were delicious! The best tacos de birria I’ve had in Reno! The horchata was tasty! I was satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Great customer service too, friendly and polite!

Today we went here to purchase some masa fina( masa to make tortillas). My husband and I met the owner Stacy. What a wonderful, engaging, friendly, knowledgable and interesting young lady she is. We had such a wonderful visit. She is beyond passionate about her business and products, and we spent almost an hour chatting with her about her business and her passion..I was happily surprised to hear the corn they use is non GMO..which is hard to find and is another layer of quality. Today I purchased the masa, some house made lard, and some of their tortillas that they make out of their specialized drier masa that are made to become chips. The whole space is clean, as in spotless, in front of house and in the back where the masa magic happens. We are going back soon to eat..yes, not only do they make fresh masa/tortillas, they have an extensive authentic menu and we are so excited to be treated to their cuisine. In the mean time..came home and started pressing masa and making tortillas. These were the best tortillas I have had outside of Mexico, and they were in my own kitchen!..If you are a passionate cook, and love real Mexican food..here is your place..

The chilaquiles were delicious. The sauce had the right amount of spice and very flavorful. The loaded fries were good. The menudo was good but it has hominy and they were hard. Place is HUGE and clean. Has 2 huge tvs. Prices are affordable.

Walking into the building you wouldn’t expect it to be as big as it is. All the space is the best part. Definitely ideal for parties.

The customer service was cool. Straight to the point, read our orders back and was super nice.

What yall want to know about is the food. It was very good. I got the breakfast sandwich. It was cooked perfect. The bun was different but was tasty. Only thing for me I didn’t like the yoke on the bottom off the bun. Got soggy fast. My lady liked her huevos rancheros, made to the tee. The potatoes were super good, great seasoning. Not trying to do too much.

Overall, try it out. I’ll definitely be back to try something else. As far as breakfast, it’s a yes for me.

Sincerely.

I’ve been going to El Rosal Tortilla Factory with my mom since I was a child to get their tortillas and masa, so it was such a wonderful surprise to learn that they also have a restaurant! There’s something incredibly nostalgic about eating their food right where all the tortillas and masa are made — it feels like home.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we knew right away that we wanted El Rosal to cater it. The entire team was so attentive and professional from start to finish. The manager herself helped us and was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She was the one who helped us plan our menu made everything easy, and their cooks and servers went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was and how wonderful the service felt. El Rosal’s team completely blew us away.

I feel so lucky to know about this hidden gem of Reno/Sparks — thank you, El Rosal, for being such a special part of our wedding day and our memories!
