Had friends from SF took them there. SO DISAPPOINTED only 7 tables had people. The hostess was rude told us we couldn’t have an empty booth and that there would be a 20 minute wait. There was a staff of 10 in the place that I counted. Have been there a lot never had that bad experience even when it’s packed. My friend is a professional chef. Not impressed at all. I was impressed after telling her how good the place was.

Don’t bother coming here. They have rude and disrespectful servers, in particular Jamie. He harassed my two close friends for sharing a kiss. This place needs to hire people that treat others with respect and kindness. There’s no excuse for homophobia in 2023 and especially not in the publicly humiliating way it was displayed. The way he acted was beyond inappropriate. Hope you can learn some common decency and respect for others Jamie.

Its been a few years since I been to El Rosal. Took my sister there for her birthday lunch. We only waited a xoyple of mintues to be seated. The service was good n the food came out reasonably quick. Tge food seemed to have an American flare to it. I like authentic mexican food much better.

Absolutely love this El rosal We drive all the way from Riverbank to go to it even though there’s one block away,. The reason we do that is the food is far superior It’s nice that people often will recognize you that’s nice. The complaints that I do have one is when they put it in the bags they’re not careful so by the in my husband’s very careful and holds it from the bottom and puts it in a flat thing in the in his truck and drive slow but every time we get it home all the food is just rolled to one side very unappetizing looking and we paid you know for two people we pay over 40 bucks just to eat so we shouldn’t have a big blob of junk the other thing is we always ask for no chips and salsa and cabbage because it goes right in the garbage and they always add it even though he says it right there It’s just a waste of food Total waste of food . We only wants also if we order flour chips of course you need salsa with flour chips but since we very rarely do that but we ask specifically please don’t add any chips salsa or cabbage in our bag and then we get home and there’s like four of each they go straight in the trash and that makes us feel horrible I don’t know why it’s that hard to listen. Had a killer experience in the bar the other day with a friend with a guy I think the bartender’s name was Victor please forgive me if he wasn’t I was having fun with him being silly and he was just a great guy I made great drinks a manager I think her name was Mary I’m not sure my husband would nobody’s not here she’s awesome too She could probably tell Brian what his order is off the top of her head and he’s not like we go there everyday fantastic people however I do miss my waitress who left with the big old cheeks and the beautiful smile oh I love that lady you won’t regret eating here

My family and I came here for lunch today and I am a little upset. I ordered the mole poblano and it was terrible, I ate my rice and beans but couldn’t stomach the mole. My husband and son finished their meal no problems with their meals so when our server came over my husband asked the waiter if there was anyway we could just pay for a side of beans and rice since the mole was no good. Server went to get the manager and the manager refused to come to our table and had the server bring our bill and let us know we still had to pay for the entire meal… my husband is a manager of a restaurant in riverbank so now he’s upset at how unprofessionally this manger handled the situation so here I am posting pictures of sticky soggy chicken mole on one side and hard chewy chicken on the other.
