Best Mexican around! My one year old will even eat the salsa. The ranchero enchiladas is my go to. The manager is so nice and very funny. The staff is awesome, eating here is an easy choice!

Load the family up on the burros and ride on over to El Rodeo for some tasty Mexican cuisine. It’s like being at a fiesta from the moment you’ll walk in the door. The food here is very good I had the taquitos and the sopapillas. I have a picture of the taquitos but this el cerdito couldnt wait to wolf down the sopapillas before I could get a picture.

The best part of the experience is that the prices were very reasonable. The food was average for Mexican food. The service was terrible especially considering that it was the middle of the afternoon with very few customers. The diners at an adjacent table left shortly after we arrived, and their table still wasn’t cleared by the time we left. After my wife and I finished our meal we wanted to split a dessert. After waiting quite a bit for the server to come by, I went to the cash register to get someone. When the dessert was brought, although we said we were splitting it, it came on one plate (but did come with two spoons). Because the table was wide, my wife and I each had to lean over the table to share the dessert. By the way, when the server brought the dessert, he didn’t clear away the dirty dishes from the meal. We had to set them on another table to make room for us to have the dessert. There are certainly better Mexican restaurants in the area, so we don’t feel the need to go back there.

Mine and my families favorite Mexican food spot! Always delicious food for good prices. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like and we’ve been going for years!

The food was pretty good. I travel for work, and I tried and eat birria tacos for quesabirria at any new mexican restaurant that I find myself around. They have a large selection of mexican soda such as jarritos. Of course. The inside makes you feel like you’re south of the border. A rather large menu. Plenty to choose from. I believe this is the second time i’ve had el Rodeo. I would certainly order from there again i would recommend!

Genuinely excellent good here! Staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was chill and easy place to hang out and talk while you eat, they do not pressure you. Food was excellent and came up fast, smelled and tasted great! Do reccomend a visit!

I got the biggest burrito of my life. It was a birria burrito. Build your own absolutely delicious full of flavor not dry. First time in South Portland looking for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. This definitely hit the spot.

This place is really great. For starters they give complimentary tortilla chips and salsa which they refill once over. Ordered special dinner, shrimp taco and fresh guacamole. The shrimp taco was really good and fresh. For the guac, they made it in front of us on the cart, they put three fresh Avocados with lime, cilantro and other asked for ingredients and served it in the earthen bowl. That was one of the best gauc I have had so far. The dinner plate was average in taste, the quantity is more than enough for two people.

This food is amazing, very close to authentic. Most I would say is authentic. Mind you I do not like the one in Portland. I prefer the one in Lewiston.
