Absolutely delicious ! Portions are just right. Wish there was a little more meat though, but definitely will be back again. It’s a really cute. Small spot service is very nice if you’re thinking about it just do it and go and visit. (Got the Lomo Saltado)

One day we went to that restaurant with my family, we really loved the Peruvian food, the friendliness of the staff, and we decided to have a family dinner for my daughter’s 15th birthday at Rocoto, we will never forget that night, the attention our guests received and everything was so beautiful, it truly exceeded our expectations. How the owner organized every detail of the party made us feel at home, we all enjoyed it. I dare to recommend this place for its good food and how attentive they are, if you are looking for a place for a small party or family reunion, El Rocoto is here!

Family-style Peruvian restaurant with great service and delicious, flavorful food every time. Everything is well-seasoned, fresh, and satisfying. We make it a point to come a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.

I called to make a reservation and casually mentioned that we would love the causa peruana for my husband’s birthday celebration. They called me back and said they would make it specially for us! The service was excellent. It’s my favorite Peruvian place in CT!

Went for dinner with my daughter. We both enjoyed it. We even tried marinated beef heart which turned out to be pretty good. Desert was different but again very good.
Place is small but service was good.
Try it if you want something different

Modest but clean place with an attractive dining terrace in the rear.
The entrées are in the $15 range and the portions are generous.
We ordered a seafood soup, mixed ceviche and fried calamari.
All were good.
The service was friendly and good.
Would eat here again if I was in the neighborhood.

Small Peruvian Gem hidden away in Fairfield CT.
The place is very inconspicuous. Blink twice and you might miss it. Nestle between Mo’s Wine and Spirits and Maritime Chevrolet, you will find this two story building with apartments on the second floor and a sports bar next door.
Don’t be fooled by the looks, the place is great!
Not much space tp park and with about 12 tables, you will considered small. They make up in flavor and service.
Jaime, our server was very attentive and courteous. He made sure our needs were met.
Because it was summer, we sat on the patio on the back and we ordered Peruvian Beer (Crystal Lager) and the red Sangria. Both were delicious.
My wife ordered the Beef Milanesa and my son and I ordered the Biftec Encebollado (Steak with Onions). For appetizers we got the Anticuchos (Beef Hearts). Absolutely perfect. We are planning to come back many, many times as we wanted to try other things on the menu.
My wife tried to order the ½ roasted chicken (a Peruvian staple) but they were out. It turns out they go fast on Saturdays when we went.
New Favorite place, could not recommend it more.

$28 for personal Jalea…2 small slices of Yuca and fried fish, missing mussels and clams. Definitely not worth it….

The food at El rocoto is a solid 10! So delicious with fresh ingredients. The only negative was the pisco sour I had because it was too small and the flavor was average. On the other hand the pisco sour doesn’t let me take away any stars from this place because next time I’ll just get wine instead. This place was definitely a pleasant surprise!
