I grew up on the western side of the US. I’m very particular about Mexican food. This place was absolutely wonderful, you could tell it was authentic and the food was prepared there fresh.
One thing I absolutely love was that they sold horchata. It’s hard to find but it’s one of my favorite drinks when I can get it. They even offered 1 free refill of the drink which was a big deal for me. Definitely a highlight for me.
I ordered the skirt steak and it came out rich in flavor, the guacamole was delicious and everything was grand.
You could tell this ma and pop style restaurant had some heart put into the food and it showed. The prices weren’t too bad either so overall it was a great experience.
I’m definitely going back.

We’ve been here quite a few times now, and the food is always great. The service is usually pretty good, but every once in a while you won’t see someone for a while. My “go to” meal is the Texas ACP, and they make it well here. I tried the Super Chihuahua this time, and it was a lot of food, but also very good. Also, it’s been a different experience several times we’ve gone, and not in a bad way. We’ve gone in and it’s been a very quiet night, and other times a bit more lively, but overall very pleasant.

While eating here on 10/25/25 bottom of our chip basket…I kindly let the server know not wanting to make a big deal out of it I know things happen it was obviously not anyones fault, but the serverers response was “oh okay” and just took the chips away, no I’m sorry about that no discount nothing. I then watched him show who I presume is the manager and they discuss it and the manager looks at us and doesnt walk up and say a word. Pretty upset with how this was handled and don’t recommend this place to anyone, not only because you may find bugs in your food but also because the service was atrocious…I regret not taking a photo but genuinely believed they would have at least apologized for the bug in our food

We (20 or so) were having a meeting in back portion. Party of 7 also seated there. Were loud and had a child that made it difficult to hear our people. Ask if the room is exclusive use. The layout makes it difficult to conduct presentations, especially if there are competing conversations.

Ordered the lunch portion of rice, chicken, steak and shrimp with cheese. It was tasty, no complaints. Their salsa was prepared too spicy. The pepper and Tabasco dominated it. Sweet tea good too.

We had a party of 4, on Friday evening. They seated the two of us, the rest of our party was on their way. We ordered drinks (water & margaritas (one regular and one strawberry). The strawberry margarita was awful, it was made with heavy syrup, not with fresh berries. As we waited for our friends to arrive, the server came by four times asking if we were going to order, as he pointed to his watch, which was annoying. When our friends arrived (they are regulars), the servers’ attitude completely changed to being positive and constantly coming by to see if we needed anything. The food and atmosphere was good, however, I ordered the sopapillas for dessert to share with our friends (they are supposed to be small pillow donuts with chocolate syrup and whipped cream.) What we received were 4 overcooked chips (almost burnt) with cinnamon sugar which they charged us $4.50 for, very disappointing.

My favorite meal when out, pescado, grilled veggies and salad instead of rice and beans. Fresh, fast, pretty healthy and reasonable. Ordered pico de gallo and got this huge plate of freshness. Nice!
