El Rio Grande in Lanett is a great spot for Mexican food! The bowl was fantastic—loaded with steak, shrimp, chorizo, and chicken, all topped with onions and cheese sauce over a bed of rice. The flavors worked perfectly together.
The chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and even the kids’ quesadilla with rice and beans was delicious. Portion sizes were generous, and everything came out hot and well-prepared.

We love El Rio! They have the best chips & salsa ever. The chips are thin and not hard like most Mexican restaurants. I mostly eat vegetarian and it’s delicious. My husband loves the shrimp nachos. We go at least once a week.

Food was good. Was out with the family it was not to busy. I ordered a xl strawberry margarita. When it arrived it was more of a cough syrup taste with no tequila. I don’t normally ask but did… Can I get alcohol is this? The waitress was confused a gentleman came and offered to bring me a shot or house tequila to add to my drink. I agreed. Powered through the uneasy stomach. Received my bill 6.25 for a shot of house tequila and 16.25 for the marg. The most I’ve ever paid for a drink. Won’t be doing that again. Ever. Not recommended locals travel farther visitors avoid.

Very clean, spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The portions we’re gracious, including the beverages. I had the #55 Steak Quesadilla with a side of refried beans and cheese. Everything’s was seasoned well. Very flavorful. We will be going again.
