We got a plate of carne asada sopes and a carne asada torta. All were freshly served and toasty warm. Sopes came with lettuce, beans, cheese on top. The carne asada was good, but a little on the salty for my personal preference. You can’t beat the hand made sopes tough as they were fried to golden perfection. My husband loved the torta and stated that the carne asada was not salty because he couldn’t even tell in the midst of all the other delicious goodness in the torta. The green salsa was just spicy enough with jalapeños; he loved it! Overall, we loved it. They had all my favorite snacks and treats from Mexico. The music sounded like home. If you miss your Mexican mom’s cooking, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!!!
NOTE: The parking lot is not well defined, but easy to find. There is NO seating at the establishment which we didn’t realize until we got there. Would’ve loved for a website option to place orders at for pickup. Prices are not legible for each item at the restaurant so look online at the Google menu to see prices.

I have visited this place several times and it is a traditionally very good place. I always buy tacos and they are delicious. My children love them. The ice pops are always frozen just right. They come fresh, and not to mention the churros, they are freshly made, warm and crunchy and have a rich cinnamon flavor.

Small little yellow building in Rockdale can’t miss it, it stands out. Exterior doesn’t do it no justice, I had a Torta de Carne Asada and it was very very good. I’m from the borderland and I’m surprised this hit home. The menu is on the wall which is a bunch of pictures that might get you confused but the cashier is very polite. I bought 4 drinks and 2 meals that came out to 33 dollars. The meals were plentifully, big proportions. The taste alone justifies the cost in my opinion. Try it at least once you won’t be disappointed.

Their tacos are out of this world!!! So loaded with goodness that I end up eating part of it with a fork. Corn cups are the best I’ve had since living in the Rio Grande Valley. A wonderful family owns this place and they provide excellent service.

Food is great! Service is good.. the staff isn’t very friendly but they do their job. You have to go in to order but they’ll bring your order to your car when it’s ready. They have an outside area where you can eat if you decide to stay.

When we were pulling up to El Rinconcito Feliz, I said, “I like the name- I hope this place lives up to it!”
You guys. It really, really did. Good food, friendly folks. They were kind enough to make my picky kiddo a bean & cheese taco, which he ate with gusto, along with some chicken from his dad’s machete. (The machete got high marks from dad and sis as well.) We also got the elotes (very good,) the nachos (basic chips and queso but very satisfying) and a very generously proportioned fruit cup (also very good.). If we ever find ourselves in Rockdale again we will have to stop in!

Really good. It may not look like much from the outside and there are only a few tables outside to eat, but the food is excellent is very reasonably priced. Skip the sit-down places in town and eat here!
