I just ordered caldo de costilla. It iwas not my first time ordering this soup. We usually eat it at the restaurant. This time we ordered to go. I ordered this before and it was very fatty. But this time, when I started serving the soup, I realized the meat was nearly all fat.
It was disgusting there fat and grease floating in top with large potatoes for weight.
The quality of the food should be the same whether eating at the restaurant or to go.
Really disappointing.
I do have to agree with other reviews that the service at the restaurant is bad .
The waitress are always mad, or they forget about you.
Almost every time I have to go to the counter to ask for more water, a box, and even the check.
So with this previous experience I had no expectations.
After seeing what they gave me, I called and brought the food back. When I arrived, the waitress was waiting for me. She inspected the food in front of me, and I showed her what they gave me.
To my surprise she agreed with me the food was bad, and she apologized.
People order to go for the convenience and expect the same quality as in the restaurant.
I am not particularly familiar with Colombian food, but I was willing to try.
If I am not mistaken this is #2 out of eight restaurants from this chain and the quality is definitely running thin.

I dont speak spanish. And I have always been treated kindly. I love the food here. Great coffee also. I have only had a few dishes here but I can say the the chicharron is amazing. Highly reccomend. Today it was very good worth the wait. We had a pastry with cheese and an empenada.

My fried fish was delicious but the ladies salmon was just ok; very bland tasting. Atmosphere was nice. Small & cozy with plenty of TVs to watch sports. The waitresses were friendly & helpful.

The daily soup specials was excellent! I came in tonight on a Wednesday and I was offered a hearty bowl of Lentil soup with chunks of chicken, but along with that, the soup came with an additional plate! A roasted quarter of chicken, a leg and thigh, and two sides! The total for the special was just under $12 dollars! Suffice to say I finished the soup and took the plate of chicken with me! Excellent Value!

This used to be our go to hole in the wall comfort food and the service always sucked but the food was good. Lately the last times there I must say that the service has gotten even worse and the food combinations are annoying.
You can’t get one thing without being forced to get another side option you probably don’t want. The cook they have now must be a newbie cause the seasoning on the dishes is not what it used to be.
The service itself is ridiculous and to think that you have to give them a tip afterwards is the most annoying part of it all. I could add this place now that used to be a favorite one for a quick breakfast or light dinner option as a don’t bother at all option.

A “Savvy Consumer” A
We ordered higado encebollado which is very typical dish. Unfortunately, it was served too undercooked so we asked for it to be cooked longer. When it was delivered to our table it was still undercooked. The waitress was surprised to see it and she asked the kitchen to cook it longer. Again, it was delivered but we were done with the rest of our meal which lacked flavor and we just gave up with the poor experience. We were disappointed with the whole visit. The restaurant is usually on top of it’s game. Not this time. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant in a long time.

The food is always great however, the service is extremely poor. The waitress’ do not come back to check on you to see if your food is ok or if you need refills etc. We were just there and after she brought us our food I saw her that she was cleaning the same glass for like 20 mins and never returned. We had to wait a very long time for ANOTHER waitress to come ask if we needed anything and bring us our check and had to ask a THIRD waiter to bring me a to go box. Ridiculous.

Great Colombian food in Royal Palm. Service could get better but they are slam almost all the time bc it is a busy restaurant. Servers might miss orders or pick could be missing a few items from time to time. We recommend checking your take out order before you go home.

We’ve been here plenty of times and have never had any issues except for today. It’s a problem when you have 3 waitresses in the front and not one comes to greet you after you’ve been sitting for an while and you have to go and ask for someone to take your order. The were only 3 tables total with customers including us. But then you get the waitress that already woke up on the wrong side of the bed or clearly didn’t want to take my order. When our food came out my husbands order was wrong at no point did she apologize (she put it in wrong) the stare and face gave it away she was clearly not happy. When the food came back out she handed it to another waitress to bring it out to us . At no point did she come over and ask us for a refill or if we needed anything else or is everything ok? That’s just bad business . I had to walk to the counter with my plate in hand ask for a box and my check. But the best is that the other waitress gave attitude also what a joke they were the two of them. I have never not left an establishment without leaving a 25% tip but she deserved nothing.
