I came here on a Saturday evening with a group of coworkers and friends. After entering the restaurant, I quickly noticed that there was not any other customers dining in. None of the employees at the restaurant even knew that any of us had entered. It was not until one of my coworkers went in the back of the restaurant to find an employee to let him or her know that we were there.
After we were seated, our orders were taken and it seemed good. But that was not the end of it. Everyone’s order was brought out at times that were not in sync. It was a little odd that the timing was so off. After we were all done, it was at least a 45 minute wait just to get the check. Mind you, the entire time when my group was dined in, there were not any other customers. The speed of service and service, in general, should not have been so terrible.
I was not too impressed with the food. I ordered the Lengua Taco (beef tongue taco) and the Fajita de Pollo (chicken fajita). The beef tongue taco was something that I have never eaten before. I was extremely skeptical about trying it because it was beef tongue, but peer pressure got the best of me. Shockingly, the beef tongue taco was good. It was much more tender than I anticipated. On the flip side, the chicken fajita was nothing to brag about. The vegetables in the mix were not evenly cooked, and the chicken had a rubber like texture to it. The tortilla paired withe fajita was incredibly thick and filling; it was unusual to me.
Music playing and it was quite. There are tv’s with the soccer game on but no sound. The waitress were hanging out at the bar sitting down hanging out and talking. There never offered us more water or came to check on us. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. It took along time for the food to come out. The food was burnt and hard. I ordered the Botana Mixta thinking it would be safe but the beef and the yuca were fried so hard it was not edible. I sent it back and they brought me the same plate with new hard burnt beef on top of it so everything Else was cold. As we paid our bill they turned music on. The drinks was way Over priced. The two young ladies who were employees seem like they were not working. They should close this restaurant.
At that point I got very uncomfortable and decided to leave. I won’t be back and will continue to support other local Mexican restaurants.
