Don’t go here if you want to keep your ability to hear. Music is crazy loud, especially on Sunday nights. I think they play it loud to annoy all the tourists who are trying to sleep in the lodging all around it, because it is more of a locals spot.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance, without checking reviews, and it was pure luck—especially for a Valentine’s dinner. We had probably the best nachos we tried in Mexico, and we traveled around the country for three weeks, not just in touristy areas. The sopa de lima was also fantastic. A lovely place, great staff, and overall a wonderful experience with amazing food. Be sure to try the mango Mezcalita!

We come to Isla every year, and this is the place with the best food! The location makes you think it is just a bar, but they have a kitchen in the back. The owner of the place was a chef in other restaurants before and we always followed him. Ah, last but not least, great prices and very good portions.

We ate the fish and now within 24 hours both very sick. Has to be the fish since it is the thing we both ate. I feel stupid since this place has earlier mentions of food poisoning. The fish was fries in so much oil that I couldn’t taste if there was something wrong or fishy with the meal.

Went there while on our honeymoon 4 years ago, we were talking about it today and I had to go find it. Great drinks and fresh ceviche.

This place looks like a bar, but the have a kitchen in the back and serve great local authentic food. The place is full of locals. This ain’t a fancy place, but is great to have a taste of local cuisine and get a break from all those places targeted to tourists. We had shrimps, lime soup, and fish and everything was really good.

Fave bar on the island! Just between North Beach and Playa Sol (or as I call it, Sunset Beach). Nicely separated from the large crowds but still right near the action for great people watching. Swings for bar stools and strong pours on the beverages. My fave spot for a Margarita!

The place is okay, a small shack bar with an off the side kitchen, the food service is very slow. $55 USD seafood plate was great for the price. The only complaint is that the menu stated it came with lobster but was served Sea Snail instead (still a culinary delicacy) but is typically very hard to chew. The octopus on the plate was the highlight of this dish. I can still savor the delicious flavor.

Food not fresh, got food poisoning tasted like I was eating hotel left overs. If you’re just drinking and listening to some music before or after going to the beach your good to go. Prices are cheap.
