Visiting Aculco for Rock climbing and wanted a nice meal. Everything was exceptional. The owner and staff were so welcoming and kind. I had an amazing steak with cactus and fried onions. They even switched out the fries for a beautiful salad. I enjoyed a couple of glasses of red wine and finished off the evening with the warm corn cake and ice cream. My server Luis was excellent taking the time to chat and make sure every need was met as requested. The atmosphere is also warm and cozy. Highly recommend and they speak English perfectly wish was a huge bonus for me with hardly any Spanish.

Lot of seating upstairs. A bit on the expensive side and small portions but the food was tasty and great location right on the main plaza. Nice view of the church too from the handwash area. The empanadas were delicious , so also the tortilla soup. The vegetarian hamburger and fries were good too.

We had a lovely dinner here after a long day of climbing with Southern Xposure Climbing. I wish I had pics of the food, but I was so hungry that I devoured it seemingly in seconds! So here is a pic of the owner of El Rincón and the owner of Southern Xposure. Old friends who were a delight to watch interact. I had the salmon con salsa de mango which came with a nice side serving of vegetables and potato purée (softer than mashed potatoes). For dessert, I requested jericalla (similar to flan but slightly different flavor and consistency) and Fernando, the owner, was excited to tell me that he serves the only jericalla in Aculco. The location is on the square on the second floor. Don’t miss this fabulous restaurant when in Aculco!
