However good you are imagining that the birria pizza is, I promise you it is better. We also ordered tacos dorado/flautas and tacos Al pastor, all of which were incredible. This is such a cute little gem that I can’t wait to order from again and visit for sit down dinner as well!

I was there on September 29th and they stayed late for our group as we ended up arriving to town late just before closing but had to stop in. Their birria tacos and quesabirria pizza is the best I’ve had. I’m from the west coast of Canada and every time I come to asbury to see my sister I will be stopping here! I didn’t save a photo from my recent time but here’s a photo from the year before takeout!

We had a fantastic dinner at El Rey. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was fast and attentive and we really enjoyed sitting outside, meeting the neighbors and having a great time. BYOB. We had guac and chips, sizzling fajitas and carnitas con jalapeños. YUM!! The carnitas were outstanding!

Amazing BYOB Mexican spot in Asbury Park just 10 minutes from the Boardwalk. It a very cute place with indoor and outdoor patio seating with additional tables on the sidewalk. Went here with extended family for dinner on a Saturday summer night and were easily seated in the outdoor patio bench tables. The service was really friendly and helpfulz and food came out super quickly. The food was excellent especially the tacos birria that I ordered. But all the other dishes from tostadas to burritos to enchiladas were outstanding. Even the chips and salsa were great. This place is BYOB, and they are cool with bringing out ice bucket to keep your beverages cool and provide you with openers and even glasses if needed. Prices are quite reasonable and the portions were huge, we ended up taking four boxes of food home. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Asbury Park and some of the best Mexican food on the Jersey shore!

Do not get Mexican food anywhere else- you will regret it. This is the closest thing I’ve found to literally feeling like I’m back in Mexico, but they also have a twist on some traditional. The quesabirria was my favorite meal I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Service was amazing.

Free chips and salsa while you wait. We added the guacamole, and it was fresh and homemade.
Birria Tacos was delicious. The consome was very flavorful, beefy goodness. You can eat it as a soup or use it to dip your birria tacos. Authentic tasting.
My brother enjoyed the Beef Enchiladas. Big portion and flavorful. He loved it so much that he ordered a side order of the black beans.
Carne Asada Tacos was bland and tough, according to my sister in law. Need extra salsa.

Wonderful,Friendly and Warm atmosphere and Staff! Food is always freshly prepared and delicious! I used to travel far for my Mexican food but now a place close! My #1 new favorite Mexican spot! Wish there ws more parking but I wll park illegally when I have to to get amazing food! Love it!!!

Just had an amazing dinner here for our anniversary!! They had complimentary chips and dip, as well as tortillas with your meal. The amount of food was incredible and even better for the price!
