El Rey is a Peruvian restaurant in the middle of the shopping center right off the highway, so easy to get to. Lots of parking outside, a good amount of tables inside and good friendly service. Their food is great, lomo saltado is delicious, although if it had a little more of the juices for the rice, it would be perfect. Good portion sizes for the price. I highly recommend coming here if you wanna try something new and delicious.

TL;DR: great food and overall quality vs price is appreciated but customer service is terrible. We won’t come back.

Ordered jalea, lomo saltado, and half roasted chicken. All the restaurants in this plaza feel very authentic, like these people just moved here 2 weeks ago and set up shop. It’s fantastic. Jalea was an unexciting dish, but the sauce was decent. Chicken was good too but once again unexciting. The lomo saltado I can absolutely recommend, not for the beef but for the rice. They boil the rice with garlic oil and I couldn’t put it down. As one of the only 10 Chinese people in the world that doesn’t like rice, this rice I love.

I love this place! I went here for the first time tonight, and it is my new favorite! I’d never had Peruvian good before. It was possibly the best food I’d ever eaten. I highly recommend the steak, fried chicken, all potato appetizers, and the purple corn, pineapple, and apple juice! I’m going back ASAP and plan to try everything, eventually!

Food is amazing and clean! I love the painting on the wall! I just talked to the lady behind the counter, and she was so nice to me and my family. My grandpa just came from Peru and he said that the roasted chicken was just like that one in Peru! I’m glad I came to try this restaurant and get to know the family that runs it! I love the pie de limón and the crema volteada! They’re homemade and fresh! I will definitely recommend this place to you and to everyone!

I don’t know what I disliked more the food or the service. I went last night with my husband and the food was just meh. We ordered the lomo saltado and a ceviche. The lomo was low on meat and the ceviche was ok. The waitress seemed annoyed when I asked for napkins. She brought out the food and forgot silverware. She removed a sauce from our table for no good reason, just came and took it. I could not get out of that place fast enough. It’s very difficult to find good Peruvian food in the Seattle region, however this place is a hard pass for me. Oh the restaurant on a Friday night 6:30 pm, empty. It was just another table and us.

Love it! This is my favorite peruvian restaurant in the Seattle area! Love the food and the friendly staff. A mom and pop shop with authentic peruvian dishes. My partner is peruvian, and after trying about 4 different peruvian restaurants, this one he loved the most! My fav dish, the one I always get is the Leche de Tigre, they serve it in a big cup very fresh and delicious. I recommend the Jalea mixta, Pollo a la Braza, and the Milanesa.
