El Rey Taco Grill was started in 2015 when the culmination of hard work and a dream merged. Our founders Mr. and Mrs. Cienfuegos worked hard for many years in the back of kitchens learning the ins and outs from dishwasher to waiting tables. Since a young age, Mr. Cienfuegos has a passion for business, and after years of apprenticeship, Mr. Cienfuegos and his wife took a leap of faith and opened our First location in Fontana, Ca. A city densely populated by many restaurants. However, our commitment to providing authentic Mexican Food that is rooted in Family traditions and recipes have proven to validate our place in the restaurant industry for the last (9) years and counting. We hope to keep serving you for many more years to come.

We Stopped by for lunch, it was rainy and cold outside so I ordered the Birria en consome. I was so glad I did. It hit the spot!! My only recommendation would be to serve a better quality tortilla. The gentleman behind the bar served us and he did a GREAT job, I feel bad that I don’t remember his name. The place was nice clean and welcoming. Definitely coming back and I highly recommend it.

I love eating here! It’s so good and the service is great! The restaurant is so nice and there’s TVs, an easy wash station right outside the bathrooms to wash your hands before you eat, and the murals are also very beautiful.

This place is awesome. Got take out shrimp burrito. And chips and green avocado salsa. Great staff. Highly recommend. They had a ton of sports games on and it was just getting busy at 6:30pm.

I went Monday, 20th, around 7p since my favorite taco spot closes on Mondays in Lake Elsinore. I ordered two chicken tacos and two carnitas. I don’t know if the music was too loud but the server brought me four carnitas and I told her hey I won’t be able eat all these tacos, I only wanted two carnitas and two chicken. She took a paused but then she nicely said she would not charge me for the mistake. I was glad she handled it correctly. For some, the meat portion is good, but for me, I would rather have a bit less and have them with handmade tortillas. I also wanted the red sauce to be more spicy, or they should have one more spicy for us that like it. Next time, I want to get less meat and maybe try something else on the menu. The vibe was okay. I saw like 3 customers try come pass 8p and they had the door closed already. I talked a bit with the young lady server, and she said sometimes it is slow on Mondays and some it’s not. I think it should be open till 9p because the other taco spot in Lake Elsinore is closed, and this business loses customers when it closes too early. I got lucky I got there at least one hour early, so I didn’t feel rushed to eat my dinner. But then again, I’ve worked in the restaurant industry, and today’s workforce doesn’t want to work hard or long hours. Either way, thanks to the young girl who served us.

Enjoyed the food very much there was plenty of variety, big screens for sporting events, beers, all kinds of Mexican drinks, a salsa bar chips, a Pinto bean bar, everything is made order. Must try the tacos de nopales, quesa birria, and the huge California Burrito. We will be coming here often. On Mondays they offer a Tacos a la Plancha special for $1.49.

Waited a long time for it to finally open and it wasn’t worth it. The place looks great, I liked the green salsa, my order took forever (30 min. For 3 tacos) and it was disappointing. My dib son’s fish taco, had the smallest amount of fish I have ever seen and TONS of cabbage. I asked for my money back and thankfully their customer service was great but I’m never going back there again. Too expensive for poor quality, what a shame.
