Ordered the pescado frito and 3 tacos(steak, chicken, pork) with coronas. Fish was perfectly crispy, fresh vegetables, steak tacos were especially great.

Come for the tienda, stay for the cheap delicious breakfast & tacos for lunch served at the small little restaurant in the back of the store. A hidden gem of Richmond.

This place is a hidden jem. I had no idea they had a restuarant in here. I was on a mission to find tacos de lengua ( cow tongue tacos ) and they had them! I normally have to go to Panchitos in Midlothian and I live in Richmond so its great that this place is closer AND taste better. I’ve also bought carne (meat) for my latino BBQs and the meat is fresh. Only downside is that their butcher options are limited. But definitely a great latino market.

Update: still freaking delicious for food

Wish I could give them 10 stars. Food was so yummy, portion huge, price unbeatable and attitude the best. They’re my favorite takeout place now. Tried the fried fish and the arepas and even got free horchata and pineapple juice drinks with discount. This place is beyond amazing!! So friendly and welcoming. They left us sweet notes as well.

In a place where flavors blend and twirl,
An authentic Mexican flag unfurled.
Not just a taste, but a feast for the senses,
Where every bite, tradition commences.

A grocery store, oh so grand,
Offers more than just the land.
Mexican delights, so pure, so sweet,
Finally, a spot where two cultures meet.

The Birria Tacos are the best meal I have had at any restaurant in at least two years. And the best meal I have ever had as far as Latin American food is concerned. The flavors are so individually pronounced yet harmonius throughout the Beef and the Jus. The Chef/Owner even came to the table with Croissants for us to try as he was experimenting with the recipe in the back. Someone call the Food Network.
