I have had a good experience here, but tonight not so much . First, we ordered online a $17.99 fajita meal. Went in to pick up and it was $25!?! Not including the tip or drink in the price. We decided to stay and eat in, because they don’t close until 10:30pm. Needless to say, this wasn’t met with happy faces. Got grumpy responses when asked for a metal fork and knife. Also, with the request for a plate, was met with the same enthusiasm. Deciding to stay and finish eating, I then asked for a sweet tea and water. Giving the person that I asked $4 to make sure it was covered. Then continuing with our dinner, we asked for a little more sour cream and they asked for $1.99 before they would even bring it to the table. This was the worst $30 experience. Needless to say it was close to closing 9:30 -10pm and they close at 10:30pm, but that’s no excuse to be loud and goofing off.Not to mention rude and treated us like an inconvenience. Never again!!

This is a hidden gem right off the highway that many people pass up. I am glad we did not. My daughter and I agree we were served the the top 5 chimis we’ve eaten.
My son’s chicken, cheese, and rice was delicious. My wife’s pork fajita was very good. There was easily a half pound of pork on that platter.
I highly recommend this place.

I was starving from driving back to Chattanooga from Denver, not wanting to drive through Nashville traffic hungry.
Boy, am I glad I did the food was delicious and fast service.

It’s cool it’s right off the exit. The male server was polite. The female that served me was cute, but not that friendly lol. Food was average. And I got served so quick that it was definitely pre cooked and ready to go. Oh and the outside of the building really needs some up keep

So good! These days I rate Mexican food places by the quality of their Molcajetes and El Rey did not disappoint! I was initially surprised by the lesser amount of broth/gravy, but found that one the cheese had melted it didn’t matter, and perhaps was better for not being watered down.
Their side plate of fixings were just standard, but that’s all you really need! Two of us shared this and finished it all!

El Rey offers a clean and safe environment that is family friendly plus it is intimate enough for couples. My food order was cooked to perfection – even on my to-go orders. There is total of 4 large screen TV’S mounted on the walls in different sections on the restaurant.

Every so often you find a place that blows your mind….You enter with no expectations and leave absolutely delighted by the experience.
The food, service and Vibe of El Rey Azteca is hella cool and very inviting. I’m headed home to Tampa and stopped to cray at the Super 8. I am so happy I came here instead of ordering take out!! The flavor and presentation of my meal was out of this world.
