The food was good but I was not blown away. We ordered and had to eat a while to pay since the lady taking our order could not ring us up. The owner had to do the check out. The lady at the counter was very sweet. Not a lot of selections of pastries.

Ordered 2 pan con bistecs. I started eating mine and my wife started eating hers and immediately we knew something was off. The steak had a funky taste and terrible after taste. I called the bakery to notify them and let them know. I didn’t want anything from them. The owner immediately started telling me the steak was good. Maybe I wasn’t used to the seasoning. I told him how wrong he was and I’ve eaten tons of sandwiches, none as bad as this. Stay away. Also other reviews are right, if you know the owner, they’ll get their food before yours even if you were there first.

Authentic Cuban Cafeteria. Family owned. The two sisters and brother that own the cafeteria have been there for years and are always involved in the day to day operations. I bought a Pan con Bistec (steak sandwich) and a Media Noche, and they were both delicious as usual. Great pastry and, of course, amazing coffee ☕️ I recommend that you call ahead to order as it is a small but busy spot.

Just like another reviewer posted, people who ordered after me but spoke Spanish got their food before me. Not one person but 3-4 other people after me in line. I waited 45min. For reference I’m white and don’t speak Spanish very well. I am Puerto Rican. Maybe if I told him that I’d get my food when I was supposed to.

While visiting family I was searching for somewhere to get Cuban coffee and found this great little cafe. The espresso was delicious and doesn’t need sugar at all. We also tried the cafe con leche which was very good. The Cubano sandwich did not disappoint and the guava pastry was amazing. I’m going back again before I leave.

Worst experience today. I understand it’s busy but people who come after you get their food before me. Waited about 45 mins and still never got my order. Nobody gave me an update on my order or even cared I was waiting for so long. I guess it’s because I’m black and because I don’t Spanish. Good luck if you black.

Kitchen staff messes up every single time. This isn’t my exaggeration. Coffee is great and I enjoy the family business aspect but I honestly come from costumer service background so it makes me upset to see them mess up my orders every time.

This is a nice family run Cuban bakery in North Lauderdale. I come here just about every morning to get my guava pastries. They are always fresh and delicious. There’s always a crowd so you may have to wait a few minutes but the staff is extremely friendly and get you going as fast as possible.

Omelettes, Cuban coffee, and hot chocolate tastes good like how they make it in the Caribbean.
