Love El Rancho Viejo. Food is excellent, maybe a little salty and salsa could be spicier but otherwise perfect. My favorite dish is the Jalisco and my kids like the Chicken and Rice. There’s always a margarita special. Kids meals are $8 and the regular meals are all about $15. Well worth it, best Mexican in Scottsbluff.

Unfortunately had some really undercooked food here. Didn’t finish our plates and left disappointed at how PINK the taco meat was. The only good thing was my margarita (husband did not enjoy his). Service was very slow and they forgot some of our food which h had to remind them to bring out. It wasn’t crazy busy either so it was really poor service unfortunately. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

The food is really good. It’s different than everyplace else in town, fresher, not just green chili, rice, beans tortilla. It’s got a lot of flavor and it’s well presented and reasonably priced.
The service is ATROCIOUS. I’ve been 4 times and every time it’s something. One time we sat and waited 5 minutes to be seated (it wasn’t busy, there was no one in the front of house, we finally just left and went somewhere else). Today we ordered an appetizer and it just never showed up. Here come our entrees. Ummmmm where’s the appetizer? not at all. At least they didn’t try to charge us). It’s not busy, it’s not rocket science and it’s nothing special, there’s no reason for it to be this bad and certainly not at this price level.
Subtract another 1/2 star for the flies everywhere. Adds protein I suppose. Frustrating, it could be really good and it’s different, but they clearly don’t care about the front of the house at all.

Great food, pretty good prices. The taller female server should really start writing orders down because 4/5 times she’s getting orders wrong. Wife won’t say anything due to enjoying the food regardless so while not a huge deal is starting to get annoying when it happens so often. Ask bout refills abit more often is my only other critique. Love coming here anyway and will continue to do so.

Ate on Aug 9th ..I have lived in Scottsbluff for 35 years trying different restaurants and this establishment is by far one of the best we have in town..great kind accommodating service. The food hands down the best I’ve had in a long time with reasonable prices for the large portions. 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
