I could not say enough! The food is so fresh, flavors amazing! I haven’t enjoyed a meal like this in a long time! I am very fortunate to be living down the street…. I will be back again & agian!!!! Even so, it’s worth the trip from anywhere. The owner Freddie greeted us like family! Can’t wait to go back. There’s so much more to try! Excellent meal, service, & fair prices. You just don’t find something like this every day! A must to try!

First time there and was very impressed. Beautiful comfortable dining area, very quiet on a Tuesday evening. Was greeted by the owner and a waitress. Tracy our server was very helpful too. My husband asked if they had a special dish but they didn’t have it in their menu, Tracy went to the chef and the chef said he will make it when we come in again to let them know when we will be back. Now that’s a great chef to accompate for their customers. The food was very fresh, hot and delicious. Hubby had Gordito Burrito dish, with yellow rice and refried beans I had the Chicken Quesadillas also with rice and beans, the rice was so fluffy and tender and the refried beans had a very pleasant taste. And I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices are for a nice plate of food, I was stuffed and took my extras home and it was just as good as the night before. On our way out we talked for a bit to Tracy and the owner. Looking forward to going back again. Thank you to a very friendly and happy Server Tracy.

I’m so excited to have a Mexican cuisine option in Honey Brook. The food was great! We ordered a 10 taco box that included ground beef, chicken, tinga, and carnitas, that came with cilantro and onions on the tacos with lime wedges and a spicy sauce. I thought the sauce was a perfect level of spice with good flavor. If you’re expecting a very spicy sauce you may be disappointed with this default sauce. For me it was great. We also had the pico, guac, and queso with chips, and had the Mexican rice and refried pinto beans. I was very satisfied with all the food and it was tasty. If I had to give a critique to improve, I felt the refried beans weren’t that flavorful, but they weren’t bad. And it would be nice if the Spanish rice had some extras in it like peppers and onions to add more than just the rice. I’m excited to come back and try more of the menu and their Mexican sodas. So happy to see a great new place in Honey Brook!

Place was clean, service was great and people were nice . Now to the food! They served us chips and salsa on the house, but the salsa was pizza sauce and the chips were good. Philly Burrito was ok … not much flavor, used real steak but some fatty pieces so maybe trim the fat off first. Shrimp bowl was next, flavor was missing, used kidney beans instead of black beans, shrimp was chopped up, should have presented full shrimp on top. Usually chopping shrimp means not many were given. Maybe come back in a few months to see if it gets better, maybe the menu will be reduce and refined .

Glad to see something besides a pizza shop in the borough but, We thought it was just OK, Cons: the birria tacos were COVERED in onions and cilantro, Insane amounts it was hard to eat, a lot of onion in the burrito bowl also and my wife said the steak was fatty and not great. The churros were bland, no cinnamon sugar on them at all, also only got 4 even though it says you get 6. Pros: we tried all the dips and they were great, wonderful chips too. Quesadilla and chicken were also very good, the tortillas in general are fantastic and homemade, very good cheese. We will for sure try more items going forward and learn to customize how we like it because the birria meat itself was very good, it was just hard to taste it.

Walking in, it looked the same as Pizza Pie. with some Mexican decorations. There were 2 menus, a pizza pie menu and a Mexican menu. We were told to seat ourselves, and the entire time, my feet were stuck on the sticky floor. I ordered a carnitas burrito, and it was do greasy and bland. I brought 2 chicken quesadillas home for my husband and he was disappointed also, said the cheese tasted fake and without flavor. Being raised in the restaurant industry, I never visit a new place until they are opened for a while, which I did, but maybe I didn’t wait long enough. I was just very disappointed, because I love Mexican food, and there is really no place close. If this place is going to make it they need to do a deep clean on everything and the owners need to look at each dish before they leave the kitchen. A regular burrito should not be that greasy and all it had inside was rice and meat, no cheese. Maybe the owner should walk around and introduce themselves to the patrons and ask what they could do better. People will be honest, and it will help the owners to be successful. I would hate to see another place with good intensions fail.

I really wanted to enjoy this meal. It was so exciting to hear about a Mexican place in town, finally. This is not to bash this business but to hopefully make some changes and improvements.
My family ordered two steak bowls, a chicken bowl, chicken/beef empanadas, and chips & guac & salsa. All together it was about $75
The empanadas were bad. The meat inside was tough and chewy, with no flavor. As someone who frequently eats spanish meals, the lack of flavor was really disappointing.
Additionally, the bowls were flavorless. The rice and beans had no taste. The steak was fatty and chewy, and once again flavorless.
The chips were the best part of the meal, the pico salsa was also just a bunch of chopped vegetables in a container, no juice from the tomatoes, almost like a dry rub.
Flavor and spices are CRUCIAL to Mexican meals and I hope in the future those flavors can be added to these dishes.
The service and staff were fantastic, so that’s why I’m feeling disappointed in this purchase.
