We came here to pick up some meat to prepare later today, but walked away with full stomachs. The Menudo was delicious, the lengua was fantastic, the Barbacoa was also delicious, but the birria was probably the best I’ve had. Absolutely amazing birria. And unless the menu is incorrect, it’s made from goat and not beef. The tortillas appear to be made in house, and were very delicious. Also amazing choices from the carniceria itself. Bought some chicharron and Adobada

I like that this place is hidden away. There’s a lot of ingredients that can’t be found in a regular grocery store. You can get food made to order here as well which is neat. Overall pretty fun atmosphere and a good place to experience some culture.

Do not come here. It is true horrible customer service. Apparently no one speaks English, I’m bilingual so I got around. It’s not easily to place an order I found it complicated. There’s many doors and blue arrows outside the building guiding you to the restaurant/ store entrance. Once you enter you’ll see a register to the right and that’s where you order the food the person will give you a receipt and you’ll take it back PASSED THE BUTCHERY to the far right end of the store you’ll wait for the discription of the order to be called in Spanish. I had the asada tacos they are okay I wouldn’t go back EVER…

My go to for tacos!!✊ pictured is one barbacoa & two chicharrones tacos. Hint: when you enter the store/carniceria walk to the back look at the food menu once you decide on your food order you’ll need to go back to the front cash register where you’ll need pay for your tacos/food. BTW they have a great salsa bar!

Stopped in for lunch today on a whim, and am so glad I did! The staff was incredibly friendly and took time to explain the menu to me (sadly I don’t speak much Spanish). Don’t expect the food to come out super quickly- they’re making it to order and it is definitely worth the wait (it took about ten minutes so not bad at all). I had a gordita, and the meat and beans were flavored better than any Mexican food I’ve had since I moved away from Texas. Definitely will be returning!

I wanted to like this place but was disappointed. They have a weird ordering system as described in other reviews. Staff was indifferent at best. Burritos were $8.99 each and nothing special. Carne asada was pretty tasty but the burrito was mostly rice and beans. Maybe only gringos buy burritos there? In any case, I won’t be a return customer…not that they care either way.

1st and last time there. I went to for an early lunch. I walk in and see the restaurant is in the back of the store. So I go look at the menu and when I’m ready I told the lady in the kitchen I was ready to order. She tells me I have to order and pay in the front first. Then bring the receipt. So I go to the cash register and they lady that walks up to help me is the lady that was sitting and eating at one of the tables. I’m like okay so maybe she was just in break. I order and pay. Then I walk back to the restaurant part and now the lady that was in the kitchen is sitting at the table eating. And the other lady for the register comes back and tell her my order. Then sits and goes back to eating. The kitchen lady still sitting and eating said that what I order they didn’t have any more. So they discuss between themselves what they will offer me instead. I agree to the substitution food order. Then that when the kitchen lady decides she will stop eating and go tell someone in the kitchen to get my order going. My daughter was with me so I was distracted a little. But I walk over to the kitchen counter and that when I realized the lady that eating was the lady getting my order. I have no idea if she washed her hands but she didn’t have any gloves on. She yells a the lady out at the table to get her some tortillas for my order. The kitchen lady already played my food in styrofoam then places it in the microwave! I don’t understand why did this except to give me cancer. Because the food was straight off the stove. Despite all this I still gave the food a try. And that was a mistake. The food was overcooked under seasoned. Not worth my money or time.

It smells terrible in there. Is always empty. The tacos are made with one tortilla and are too expensive for what you get. Awful customer service. Worst quality produce. I’ve given this place a shot several times hoping it was just a bad day for them. It’s like that every time.
