Family of 5 seated and forgotten about. No one even looked our way after bringing us menus & chips. I understand short staffing, but other tables that came in behind us were helped before us. After 30 minutes of not even a drink order, we left. Very disappointing.

Had the Birria en Caldo from El Ranchito Alegre today for lunch and it was ON POINT. The consome is authentically and richly seasoned and the chunks of meat were huge with a good ratio of meat to fat and bones. There’s nothing better for your soul than a slow-cooked consome. The homemade tortillas and salsas are also delicious. I can’t wait to try everything!

Legit, authentic, Mexican food. I had the chicharrones y carne asada and it was amazing. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town.

This place is it for Mexican food, well at least in Tualatin and in what I’ve explored in Portland. How do I know, the birria! That’s how. It takes great skill to make a good birria and this place makes an incredible birria. Hands downs. Speaking of, the hand made tortillas are the size of your face and delicious.

The Portland metro area had a lot of places that have Mexican fusion type good which is good, but the places that market themselves as a authentic Mexican food restaurant always fall short on flavor. This place has the authentic flavor I have been craving since I moved up to Oregon. I was going to give 4 stars because there were fatty bits in my burrito, but honestly the flavors outweigh that small con. I will pay more for better meat and if you had a +$4 for non fatty beef option, then I would gladly pay that difference. The prices here are competitive to other Mexican restaurants in the area.

If you want plain tasting food and carne asada that tastes like it came out of a can, than you should go here. I’ve never had such plain tasting mexican food in my life. Their cooks must not know what seasoning is.

An unexpected gem…some of the best food we’ve had outside of California and Arizona. Check out the grocery store after you get done with your meal.

This place can have all my money, their breakfast burritos are literally the best I’ve ever had. Get them with bacon and sausage. They are like two meals and worth every penny!

Please don’t eat here. I don’t want it to get so popular I can’t get a seat. These tacos are too delicious for you, you won’t appreciate the authentic flavors and hand made fresh tortillas and delicious proteins and fresh salsas …please head to taco bell. It’s not too far from here. It’s better suited for you.
