Ive been here several times and I’m never disappointed. We went during lunch and were quickly seated. Our waitress was Ahydee and she checked on us every so often. We had the milenesa which was bigger than I expected and fajitas, both were great. The only downside is the parking lot is small and tight.
Other than that I would definitely recommend this restaurant and in my option is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Dallas.

The service was great. This is my second time here. They had a pozole special today and it was great. The refried beans are excellent. The tortillas are being made fresh in-house. We came early tonight because the place gets packed!!! They also have mariachis later in the evening.
Added perk on some Saturday and Sunday nights all the old cars are cruisin and parked on the strip.

Bravo Mexico – this is an exciting Mexican place to celebrate the good foods together with live musicians who come to your table to help make your evening explode with fun and joy. Fajitas were generous but rather dry. Chilli con carne was great. Service was very attentive. The decors ambience was fantastic and our family felt like touring Mexico – Bravo

My first time at El Ranchito was a blast! I’m a big fan of nachos, and these were especially delicious because the beef was incredibly tender. I just have to try pozole at any place that serves it! It was also fantastic. I enjoyed sitting at the bar, where I received excellent service and still managed to catch the mariachi music in the main dining area.

Made a reservation over the phone for a party of 22. I wasn’t able to make it online for that many guest. The 2 waiters were great they were very friendly, attentive and fast. To be honest I was expecting for the food to take a while since it was a large party but the food came out in a very reasonable time. We brought the birthday cake and they were able to hold it in the kitchen till we needed it. The only disappointing part was we were expecting to get mariachi to play some songs and found out the mariachi doesn’t show up till at least 6pm and our reservation was at 4. That’s ok we’ll keep that in mind for out next visit. Oh! And if your curious how much there songs are ? They are $25 now . Our experience was great didn’t have any complaints on this particular visit I highly recommend dropping by with your next large gathering .

El Ranchito is one of the old line of restaurants in Dallas, where multiple generations of families have made this Jefferson Blvd. spot for years and can argue over their favorite dishes. El Ranchito specializes in Northern Mexico food, where goat has a place of honor on the menu, beyond the typical Tex Mex combo platters. We had birria tacos and caldo de Pollo. The caldo was packed with chicken and lots of carrots and Calabasas, but frankly the broth could have been better. The corn tortillas were some of the best in Dallas. The birria tacos were wonderful, with generous portions of shredded beef and griddled cheese in each. Pintos were outstanding, the rice nicely cooked. Consomme was a bit salty. Seating was prompt with no wait, at the end of Sunday lunch rush, and service was wonderful. If you have not visited, pay El Ranchito a visit for terrific regional food and warm service. Prices during lunch were around $20/person.

Great space. Lots of famous people come here. Lots of tables. Good, live mariachi music. Food wasn’t impressive. Lacked flavor and freshness. Salsa was really good (la picosa). And our waiter wasn’t the best. He continued to pass plates and items over my head. Leaning over our shoulders without even saying ‘excuse me’ or comment (leaning on us physically).

Melted plastic coated my $40 baby goat dinner because the waiter left a knife with a plastic handle (see photos) stuffed between the meal and the “grill” that it’s served on. Meal ruined, I only ate the beans, rice, veggies that came on a separate place.

No apology, tried to not even give a discount for the ruined portion of the meal.

I was amazed by the fact that this restaurant made their tortillas in house. The food is served fresh, hot, delicious, and the customer service is very hospitable. The overall vibe is pleasant, upbeat , and the prices are reasonable. This restaurant can easily be the go to spot for delicious Mexican cuisine.
