El Ranchito was a pleasure! The food was delicious and the price unbeatable. Authentic Mexican food with a delicious taco and a delightful Tamales. The service was fast, friendly and absolutely on point.
Definitely a place to come back to!

I was recommended to try the “Happy Plate” and I can tell you that my first time trying this place was fantastic. The rice had a jambalaya flavor with cheese and grilled chicken and jumbo shrimp were seasoned well too. I will be back to see what other amazing food they have. I highly recommend this place!

El Ranchito in Gluckstadt is easily one of the best Mexican spots around. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always on point. I ordered the steak fajitas, and they came out sizzling, juicy, and full of flavor. I also got a side of queso, which was creamy and perfect for dipping just about everything. Definitely a go-to place when you’re craving good, authentic Mexican food in the area.

I visited during their soft opening period, so I understood there would likely be some initial hiccups. The first noticeable issue was with their POS system, which caused a delay of several minutes while the staff worked to process and ring up our order. The team remained friendly and apologetic throughout this process, which was appreciated given the circumstances.

For my son, I ordered the chicken strips and fries. According to my discerning young food critic, they were good but didn’t quite reach the gold standard set by 601 Wings. That said, he cleaned his plate entirely, which is the ultimate kiddo seal of approval in my household.

I decided on the beef fajitas for myself. The presentation was different than I expected – the meat appeared to be steamed rather than grilled on a traditional sizzling plate (I’ll be curious to see if they serve them differently during regular dining service). For my personal preference, there was an overabundance of vegetable mix incorporated with the meat, which somewhat overwhelmed the beef flavor. The meal came with only three small flour tortillas that left something to be desired – they were unfortunately undercooked in the center while being surprisingly tough around the edges.

The restaurant’s interior design is quite appealing and thoughtfully done. Just from glancing at the bar wall, it’s evident they offer an extensive selection of adult beverages that would make this a good spot for happy hour or evening gatherings. Their outdoor patio area also caught my eye as being particularly inviting.

I definitely plan to return once they’ve had time to work through the initial soft opening challenges. The outdoor seating area looks perfect for bringing my dog along on a nice day, and I’m willing to give their food another chance when they’ve had time to refine their execution. The staff seemed genuinely interested in providing good service despite the opening day challenges, which gives me hope that the experience will only improve with time.”

Never again! My waiter was very nice but the managers or owners were very rude. My food tasted like pure salt so I asked for a remake. The managers proceeds to tell me how “Nobody ever sends a plate back”. She and He both talked over me as I explained why I wasn’t happy with my food. Definitely not returning. The approach was uncalled for and the remake was horrible too.

This New Mexican Restaurant is really good. Always happy to see new restaurants in the Gluckstadt area.
We went for lunch and had the Fajita Chimichanga and the Combo (Chili Releno and Beef Burrito)
Both were excellent. The chimichanga had large beef strips. The sides were fairly standard except for the house potatoes. Not much one can do to differentiate refried beans and rice. I had the house potatoes which were a nice option. The chips were thin, crispy, hot and fresh. The dip had a little kick to it which is often not the case.
Portions were large – got a to go box, prices were very reasonable and the decor was attractive.
We will be back.

This is our 2nd visit to El Ranchito in Gluckstadt. The food is excellent, fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Outstanding service, and the portions are generous.
Prices are reasonable, making it one of the best bang-for-your-buck dining options… with extensive menu. Highly recommended…!!

Get ready hot cheese dip. Good chips and salsa. I had the Ahora Margarita. Not sweet at all. Perfection. They’re gonna put a lot of people out of business.

Tried the Rib Eye tacos and they were amazing. Drinks were on point and not watered down. Everything was served quickly and piping hot. Definitely a 5-star experience for the money.
