The food was just ok, the server was terrible. She didn’t know prices or what came with dish. She didn’t come back and check on us at all. Her shift ended and she just left. I had to get someone else to help us. They should have given me a discount for the inconvenience. I must say the drinks where good!!!

Fajatia are excellent. Only 1 soap dispenser and 1 faucet working. Lack of toilet paper. Waitress left. The other waitress older, hovered us until we paid her. Weird.

Food was absolutely amazing. I got the California Burrito and was not disappointed. Ordered a Long-Island tea and it was mixed just right. Alcohol didn’t overpower the drink. Was able to enjoy all the way through. Wfe ordered Shrimp fajita and was satisfied. She had the Horchata and was impressed.

We always enjoy our meals here. This time we tried house margarita, shrimp tacos, and pollo El chipotle, and all was great. One star down for atmosphere this time because there was a woman begging for money, right at our table as we sat! And management seemed to allow it to go on for a while. But overall it’s a great dining experience. Oh, and their salsa is excellent!

Most recent trip was for a birthday lunch, with a party of 14. The waitress did a great job handling such a large party. Everyone’s food came out together, hot, and no issues. Drinks stayed full, salsa and chips also were constantly being refreshed as well until our food came out. We’re an easy group, but I would recommend El Ranchero (Dual Hwy location) to anyone looking for a place to accommodate a large party of 10+.

We had the birria tacos ($16) and the Del Mar Fajitas ($21), which is the shrimp and scallops one (del mar = of the sea). They were both AMAZING!!!
Fajitas came with the beans, lettuce guacamole, and rice plate. The Birria tacos came with consommé (flavored broth) and rice.
Great customer service and great atmosphere at this spot with the old-timey Mexico City mural.

My wife and I come to El Ranchero 2 sometimes 3 times a week. The food is great and service is excellent. We know almost every employee by name and if not we know them by looks. I always get tequila shots, a classic mojito, and most of the time I have chili rellanos. Sometimes I mix it up.
If you want great traditional Mexican food, this is where you want to be.

The restaurant was across the street from our hotel and not too crowded somewhat early on a Friday evening. I didn’t have great expectations for the food, but it was really good. We both had enchiladas and they were very tasty. I was a little surprise at the prices as they seemed high, but at the same time everything is more expensive these days. Bottom line, we enjoyed our dinner, good food and good service.

Always consistent — good portions and good flavors across the board. Popped in for some carnitas (I always ask for them extra crispy) and queso after showing property in the area–early dinner/late lunch vs sitting in traffic–and never disappointed. And I always go home with leftovers, lovely bonus!
