When you first walk in it’s like you have left the city of Buffalo completely and walked into a little island eatery. There is an explosion of colors and the smell of abuelas kitchen that pulls you right in. The pastelillos are packed full of meat and cheese, not skimp at all. I ordered the pernil dinner with arroz con gondulez. The meat was tender and flavorful. The rice and beans was very good especially when I added the container of little red sauce to the mix, im not sure what it is, it almost smells like cocktail sauce but it’s very good when added in. I’ve never seen it added at other places. Highly recommended. My favorite spot for Puerto Rican cuisine.

I can’t rate the atmosphere because I got delivery but the photos make it look nice. Great new spot for Lackawanna, the food was fantastic and the portions were more than enough (not sure what the one negative reviewer was complaining about). The blood sausage was great as was the fried pork that came with a healthy portion of delicious rice. Will be getting from this spot again!

Twice I have called in my order ahead of time. Both times I had to wait another 20-30 minutes once I got there. I thought the food was tasty, and I would order it again – but if I have to wait another 30 minutes each time I go to pick up then I’m done with this place. Hope to see more reviews indicating they got their act together.

Everything we ordered was amazing and fresh. The woman working the counter was really nice and wonderful. The restaurant was cute and clean. 10/10 will absolutely be back!

This food is fantastic. I got lunch for my work and I ordered 5 combos . Pastelillos, yellow rice , plantains and potatoes and beans. Absolutely amazing !!!! The girl at the counter was fantastic and the wait wasn’t long for take out. Everything was fresh and the portions are great !!! 10 out of 10 will be back !!!

My work team brought this back for a team lunch and I was stunned. Authentic, flavorful, good portions, probably the best pastelitos I’ve ever had. Rice was awesome too. And the price was very fair for what I got. Wish I could give 6 stars!

Really yummy beef and cheese pastolios and fresh. Also had a cornmeal item that was shaped like a twinkie ( I do not know the name ) it was dense and sweet … very tasty. Very friendly service ,they young lady who was working was super nice and happy. Place is nicely decorated and very clean . Definitely going back. The only draw back is that they need a website with a menu and brief explanation of some of the food for us white folk lol…

First location is bomb! Second location exceeds equal expectation! Amazing customer service and food pastelillos are the best in the state love them they are very packed and so flavorful! Please be patient with them as they have just opened and only have 1 cook.

Rude and slow but they have clean bathrooms.
When I herd a Puerto Rican restaurant opened up near by I was excited. I bring home Spanish food a couple times a week from places like Niagara Cafe, La Flor and Montes. This place was horrible. After waiting at the counter for 5 minutes the young lady working there finally came out from the back and notices she had customers. She acted like we were bothering her. My order was simple, 2 pernil dinners with yellow rice and 3 pastelillos. She informed me that the yellow rice wasn’t ready and would take another 30 mins but the the white rice and beans were ready, so I got that instead. For some reason it took almost 40 mins to transfer our food from the stove to to-go containers. I don’t know if they had to go to another restaurant to pick it up or what. I watch the young lady keep leaving the restaurant unattended to go outside only to return when more customers walked in. Each time she acted like she was being interrupted. When we final got our food and left, we got home only to find that it was luke warm and nasty. The pernil was saltier then me after waiting so long! I could even eat it. The rice and beans we bland at best. I’m mad at my brother for even recommending this place! On the bright side, the had really clean bathrooms.
