El Pulgarcito is definitely worth a visit once you actually find it! My Apple Maps couldn’t even locate the place, so I had to switch over to Google Maps. Even then, I circled around for a good 10 minutes because it’s hidden in the back in a little plaza. So just a heads up: don’t give up, it’s there!

I even bought some snacks while I was there, but of course the main event was the pupusas. I ordered the jalapeno & cheese and the regular cheese pupusa. Portions are no joke these things are filling! I was only able to finish one and took the other to go. Everything was hot, cheesy, and super comforting. The curtido and salsa on the side tied it all together perfectly. Prices are very reasonable too, especially considering how generous the portions are.

The atmosphere is unpretentious with that true hole in the wall vibe, which makes it feel even more authentic. I went with my gf who’s Salvadoran, and she gave this place her stamp of approval. Our server, Ayli, was so sweet and really on top of everything, making sure we were well taken care of the entire time.

This place gets busy, and with food being made to order, patience is key. But if you’re craving authentic Salvadoran pupusas, this is the place. Just plan ahead for parking and navigation, it’s a hidden gem in more ways than one!

Stumbled upon this place in Orange, CA by accident, so glad I did. Freshly prepared pupusas filled with your choice of sausage, pork, beans, cheese, absolutely delicious! Will definitely go back!

Pupusas were delicious and fat. Great drinks also. The Agua de Tamarindo was bomb. Price was decent for the size of the pupusas….I highly recommend

Whether dine-in or take out, El Pulgarcito always delivers! Aside from Balompie in San Francisco, if you find yourself in this area and craving true authentic El Salvadorean food, there’s no need to look elsewhere. I made that one mistake in Antioch, Ca (1-Star review on Yelp & Google) so trust me- this trip made up for it 110%!

As for food experience, we usually order chicharron con queso or just plain loroco but this time, we opted for a couple of new items on the menu: Rigua con crema and a breakfast plate. A large Horchata order can be shared for two. Friendly and attentive staff even though at the time of visit there were a couple of large parties (6+) she made sure we were good! The overall set-up of the restaurant is almost like cafeteria style 🙂

Love me some pupusass! This spot slaps. Ordered they’re chicharon, ruelta, pollo, and vegan spinach pupusas and all we’re exceptional. Alongside we ordered they’re pollo tamales and horchata which were all bomb.

One caveat is they’re cortido could’ve been more sour for my liking. They’re cortido is more on the salty side.

The spot feels very homey and cultural.

Loved it.

Pupusas were VERY good! The wait for the food was a little long but def worth the wait! They have the regular tomato sauce and they have a spicy sauce that’s very good! Def recommend this spot. Clean atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great food – jalapeño and cheese pupusas I liked the most. I tried shrimp and cheese ; chicken and cheese pupusas as well, for side Curtido salad and warm salsa roja was so good with pupusas. All were just amazing. Tried the dessert- fried plantains, they were yummy as well. You have vegan option as well. Would like to try vegan pupusas on my next visit. There’s a small snacks section as well to buy few Salvador snacks.

We ate 4 of us here 5 times during our 2weeks holidays. We order many different meals people where very unfriendly and at times rude.

I ask for pupusas with LOROCOS and after receiving my order with No lorocos I never got it and i requested it each time they keep acting dumb inever got what I pay for so we never when back.

Bad customer service and rude, we even ask for the WiFi and they said they didn’t have and icould see it on my device showing availability.
UNEDUCATED PEOPLE,Jente sin education.

The service, and food were great! The food tastes homemade. What’s great is they also provide you with everything you need to add to your pupusas. The staff were very welcoming. And what’s cool is that it actually takes a while for the food to be ready but that’s only because this place is not a fast food joint, so they actually are making your plate right off that stove. You just can’t get something better than this el Salvadorian restaurant. I left really satisfied, and will be coming back.
