I have never been here before or even heard of it, so I thought i would try. I like to try different foods from different countrys. I got a pupusa with bean, cheese and pork and the flavor was quite nice. The fried yuca very nice. I grew up eating plantain and I don’t know if it’s the usual practice of salvador of serving it beyond overripe. I did not find it enjoyable, and I love plantain normally. The beans had a different flavor, though I couldn’t tell you what the flavor was. unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it very much. I know running a restaurant is really a very hard thing to do. I try not to be too critical, but I do have to give my honest opinion, so I apologize that it wasn’t a more positive review.
as frequently is the case, I forgot to take a picture until I was done eating.

Deliciousness! Received a warm welcome as a dine in customer.
Ordered the mojarra frita (fried tilapia) and oh boy was In tears from how delicious it was! I haven’t had it made properly like this since I was a child. There was a saltwater taste mixed in as if the fish had just been caught in the ocean.
The barbacoa platter was super delicious, flavorful and juicy. Then there’s the pupusas! So fluffy, gooey yummy cheese mixed with flavorful porkl. Oh and the plantains! Again tears of joy from how delicious it was.

A unique opportunity to experience some authentic Salvadoran food as well as Mexican food. I opted for the authentic food from El Salvador today. It was filling and tasty. The plantains were delicious and the chicken tamale and pupuso were very good…
The pupuso is thin cornmeal batter stuffed with your choice of stuffing..

Delicious lunch in Abilene! A great small restaurant with amazing food. Enjoyed the El Tipico with a jalepeño and cheese pupusa. Also had a big glass of horchata.

I have nothing to compare it to except Mexican or text mex and it was differently delicious. My wife had the spinach enchiladas and I had the salvadorian plate. Tiny hole in the wall type place in a tiny strip center. Worth finding!!!
