If you like good authentic Mexican food, skip this place. This is located in the windmill food hall and it appealing to the population around it which doesn’t really consist of very many Mexicans so the flavors are bland and very flavorful. We ordered the Birria anchors and Al pastor quesadilla. The Birria nachos were underwhelming. The Birria meat was tender but just bland and so was the guacamole on it.. the Al pastor quesadilla didn’t have much flavor either and was super greasy and soggy. The tortilla on it wasn’t a good quality tortilla either. Just not worth it.

Great to see vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The vegan loaded potato burrito with the salsa was delicious and so flavorful. Quick wait time and ingredients were so fresh. Can’t wait to come back again.

Absolutely delicious tacos! Handmade tortillas and salsas were so good and hot! We tried the eggs and chorizo taco and the machaca and egg taco. Must try. Also the pineapple and spinach agua fresca which was so refreshing

I got the rolled beef tacos. The beef is more on the drier side. Also the salsa on top was pretty old.

I grew up in Carlsbad and burritos were always my favorite food. I noticed most places got really expensive and quality went down. This place is my favorite now with really good tacos and burritos, salsa, vegan options, and decent prices.

Hands down, my FAVORITE tacos of all time. The magic is in just having fresh ingredients. The spicy salsa is SPICY but is incredibly delicious. Love this place; dreaming of their tacos even though I’m sadly in another country.

Went to this place for the first time. Has many choices inside the building for whatever food you are in the mood for. Tries El Puerto for my family. The veggie burrito was a hit. As well as the beef quesadilla. Staff extremely friendly. Will be back

I love when the spot lets me split my choices on a two-taco plate. Puerto does that and so much more, all for $13 bucks. Their shrimp are fire—so is the creamy green salsa, so be warned!! Fun atmosphere, a dozen other cafes to choose from, if somehow Mexican can’t meet your needs. Picnic tables, nice and chill place to let the kids make their messes.
